Great link Ati....very well put together and the narrator stitches the concepts explored in both films quite clearly.
I actually liked Amy Seimetz as Faris. Thought she was quite attractive (as most of the women in A:C are) and her acting was well done. The Medbay sequence was one of the best parts of Covenant as you can feel the sheer dread/terror that these characters are going through.
Exactly. I'm excited to see the wrath of the Engineers, what they will do, and how David will retaliate.
That was something to see Scrib, thanks for the video :)
"They are indeed new aliens, neo in ancient Greek means "New" or "young"."
Very good Dark Nebula.
Neomorph: A contemporary morph.
U2's The Joshua Tree (1987) was my first ever CD purchase with New Order's 1987 shortly after that Ati.
Awesome list...I always liked Samantha Fox, I played a Jefferson Starship cassette tape on the school bus in 1987, and didn't discover Fleetwood Mac until later in life but wore them out too. Great list.
Thank you so much I Moon Girl. I tried to tailor the visual content to what the song is saying or what the song is about. I thought about the song when I saw the electric blue hue of the Engineer holograms and wanted to share. Again, I appreciate the kind words.
Alien Covenant, because I can watch it over and over again. And because of its numerous dilemmas: is it Walter or David, did Weyland-Yutani had some knowledge of David's doings on planet 4, what did he do to Shaw, is planet 4 the home world of the engineers, why did they welcome the arrival of David's Juggernaut, did David really created the xenomorph, and so on...
Work is continuing with ALIEN: MANTICORE 'Paradise' and it's coming along pretty well.
I will mention that YES the story I did regarding Walter IS canonical to this story and DOES connect directly to it.
Short-Story 'The Resolution Of Walter'
Even while writing ALIEN: MANTICORE 'Paradise' I am planning and roughing-out the story-frame for the third book in the series, and Walter does figure prominently in the third volume.
TY for flagging the spammer and good point on the thread-bump...
Nothing so bad they're not useful for something, I guess. :D
Lawrence of Arabia I agree with you, humans as well will destroy any robot they cannot control.
I wonder now if it is a good idea to have the engineers return in the next film, after David wiped out the cradle of their civilization.
thanks Blackwinter-witch, I too have flagged the pest. At least the thread gets a bump though :-)
I feel like this was a good summary of Prometheus if you have already seen it.
Good editing and the music just feels perfect for the edited video. Very impressive.
Thing is, with a city that big, and factoring in sewage systems and storm drainage systems...there may yet be survivors, as well as deposits of still semi-active Black Liquid... ;)
Wren: Yes
Christie: And there's other's. How many?
I wish Ridley Scott's voice was louder. Still, I heard almost everything. I liked hearing the overall plot of the prequels from Ridley Scott. Good video.
Pge;48 of script, just as a note-of-help. :)
CHRISTIE: Doctor. That thing, that's your pet goddamn project?
Christie - Doctor. That thing, that's your pet goddamn project?
sarah777 reported as a spammer. :)
My comp won't handle it, but I will be happily devouring the trailers and such :D
TY for posting about this!!
Yet, this isn't a fact since it's based off of an early script?
If this is true, then that means David never experimented with Engineers.
Also, we have to remember that David is telling us this. David is a compulsive liar, so that also has to be considered when reading these statements. I could never trust David. We can only guess as to what he is thinking most of the time in Alien: Covenant.
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.
Great video Ati, nice find :)
Ah, sorry about that. Thank you for the heads up :) The video is quite interesting, I enjoy the parallels and in-depth analysis. It showcases the prequels greatest strengths and makes sense of the narrative.
That's a repeat post. Interesting video though.
Call- We're not killing anybody! Nobody we don't have to.
I love sci-fi art. Do you know of any that is drawn in a heavily human populated environment?
Dark Nebula That's what I thought as well, David was taming the creature making it not a threat until Oram went all Rambo. While I can see why Oram started to suspect David, with him being more worried over the Neo than Rosie, that doesn't necessarily scream evil mastermind. For all Oram knew, David was friendly to all creatures and wanted to mediate lol
David would ensure Oram was dead either way. Oram should have capped David while he had the chance but...
When Neomorph saw David it stared at him totally confused since David was synthetic, but when Oram came I'm pretty sure Neomorph would attack him since he is made of meat, but David made Neomorph not to attack. But Oram shot it.
"How could you... It trusted me!"

'Poor Neomorph trusted David but Oram shot it.'
I'm sure the neomorph was totally confused: "WTF? It speaks but it isn't alive!!! Should I kill it?" :D
Shaw's quest for answers would be redundant as the answers lie within Prometheus. David already knows why because he is the answer as summed up by the conversations between Holloway and himself, they created us because they could and creators despise their creations once they can't control them or step out of line to which the only recourse is death.
Daliens:
She played so well so I could sort of think of that is how you would react if you would be chased by a dangerous animal on earth while being injured. Maybe I wasn't clear enough with what I meant, I hope that you understand it better now.
Thoughts_Dreams I disagree with you. Shaw was not such naïve, like a lot of people like to describe her. The fact that she was wrong is nothing but an expression of humanity. But the most important thing is that she was able to recognize her mistake and change her vision. I am not ashamed to connect to this character.
But this type of character like “a lone voice of a sense” which represented Daniels bothered me.
I agree with Gavin, I would prefer a movie about Shaw and David searching for answers.
Not to worry, the prophecy will come true, so says the Muthur Oracle.
The scene when David was trying to tame the Neomorph and made it not attack.

Poor Neomorph trusted David but Oram shot it.
sarah777 you should be ashamed about being a spammer
Jump scare at 1.09 mins, wish I could unwatch that part *shivers*
Also, the only one you can make an argument for is Aliens, which has a few likable characters, as Alien 79 only had 3 likable characters (Brett, Parker, and Ripley) out of 8 and Alien 3 was infamous for not having any supposedly. Even then these characters were barely fleshed out aside from a select few.
