from only one picture you cant tell, but if you put it with the other pictures you can see that its coming out of the mouth. as to how it got in, well arent we speculating?

Leaving it up to the imagination sometimes works better than detailed exposition.

OK, maybe this creature goes head to head feeding on the gray matter of the brain or the human DNA (in the photo @ Craigo, the cobra appears pink, while in the first images has a pale color) My little theory is: One of our unfortunate children of the Prometheus is attacked, then this SpaceCobra eats his brain killing the host and then attack another victim (Swan) and thus complete its development into a hideous monster or entity designed to wipe out all life forms of a planet. The last image above the shot from "The Thing"... is the painting that led to us all being here and speculating on an "ass-hugger" !!! The Top part of it is the Direct Inspiration for the Space Jockey itself and with out it none of us are ever here!!! H R Giger is as much "The Man" as Dan O'Bannon and Ridley Scott were and are. And his influence IMO is smeared all over this entire project!

Ive been wondering what was depicted in that leaked trailer for ages now, and its great to see some clear shots at last, but these didnt come from that crappy quality trailer, and they arent in the new trailer, so maybe someone can tell me where they really came from?

Sure, and that would work with the whole body horror thing that's goin' on in the Alien/Prometheus universe. (Consider what the xeno did to poor Veronica Cartwright in the original Alien!) But look what else that cobrathing can do: Rip open a pressurized space suit presumably designed for conditions hostile life, and burst out of a similarly tough space helmet. Surely it can also rip through puny human flesh??

i dont even rekon the cobra thing is even a creature. just some weird biotech probe or defence system. probable injects that weird grey stuff that david is so fond of. your all thinking "alien". i rekon the space jockies just use other species to replicate themselves. as you can see the crew getting infected. but it is a evolutionary type change. the whole anus thing is too tacky for ridley scott. i just feel he is gonna throw us right off the track.
