Hi! Here's my take on the adult Deacon. I've always been intrigued by the translucent alien never done in the first movie, nowdays with CG it can be done and I hope in Prometheus 2 we will see some translucent xenos, glowing like abyss creatures. Hi all, just joined this site to submit :) I want to get way better at drawing, was told to do a lot of tracing but it got me nowhere, thought this was a good opportunity to get some practice in. Im still bad at drawing, but i've only recently been drawing things from my imagination or memory without reference like this one. [img]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/Dessicata/CIMG7370.jpg[/img] [img]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/Dessicata/CIMG7371.jpg[/img] I wanted to keep the smoothish texture of the deacon, and seeing as its a proto-xeno i thought it would be cool if it went into a proto-queen. There are a little nods to the xeno in there, one pair of fingers elongated and fused on each hand, a second pair of arms forming on the chest, the head crest and spines at the back. I also thought it would be cool if the top jaw not only jutted out more, but if the whole skin on the top of the head receeded back even more extremely exposing the fleshy head and canine like snout. If anyones seen the underside of a crab i've tried to add that on the belly of my design, it would fould outward to reveal an egg holding area.

From looking at the design, the tail just seems to be better not being there. I'm just wondering is it maybe just entirely animal-like in bipedal form?

Nice Aram; no tail does look better. It gives the feeling that you're moving in the new direction the film is going. Great job

Pretty cool Aram's design. The tailless version is better, and more correct, because the Deacon hasn't tail. I hope we will see an adult Deacon --what is doing it's job :)--, in the "Paradise". I wonder how it intelligent by the human+Engineer DNA.

I'm not an artist in any way, I just had the day to spare, and found this competition... So, thought I may as well give it a go! However, some of the entries here are VERY good... I made it by drawing the legs on one sheet of line paper, the torso and tail on another, the arms on another and the head and neck on the final piece... I then scanned all bits in and put them together using GIMP.... Quite proud of it! It's probably hard to notice, but I used The Joker from Batman as inspiration for the head... And I originally drew a human head and worked around that.

This Deacon concept parts from the idea that Deacon is a embrio stage to something completely different. It takes it's configuration from the host's DNA. Since the host is an Engineer, masters of genetic manipulation, the Deacon has used not only the Engineer's DNA, but also the genetically designed space suit a part of it's process of accelerated evolution towards the perfect killing machine. Hanx Chris... it would be insult to both Giger and myself to say that of myself it would mean I no longer have a mark to reach for! I have my own style and (kinda') took Giger's approach to a lot of Prometheus material!
