Thousands of eggs?

He is implying that these eggs need a host...which in this case would be a human and this would be Oram in this case. The "mother" of his creations that they are waiting on is whichever poor soul, male or female gets facehugged by the creatures residing in these eggs, as they will become "mother" to the organism that will eventually burst forth from them...in this case there are no chickens, just eggs...Ridley will not use the Queen concept in his movies trust me

Are you sure? I just can't shake the feeling that he means an actual "mother" I will look into it.

Shasta cyclone, yes, one of the drawings on the wall of David's workshop looks like a giant seed pod (similar to Seymore from Little Shop of Horrors).

David could have used available biology, remaining plant life, and started there with his mutations.

Perhaps David wasn’t the first one to make the eggs? Didn’t they say that one could re-create them if they had the tools and knowledge to do so? Maybe the eggs on the space ship that the SJ flied were older than those that David created during his experiments?

Maybe the SJ’s found the eggs somewhere and took them to their planet or base to enhance them and use them as bio weapons. While on their way to earth in order to get rid of mankind something went wrong and they crash landed, he got face-hugged and sent out the signal and then died.

Hopefully we will never get the whole answer, some things should stay a mystery.
