AC Birth Scene

I haven't really looked at it that way.From my point of view she was screaming in terror.Perhaps she's screaming in agony.

from an earlier scene in the trailor I believe she was in the room while he was being examined. my theory is that the other woman gets called away because another crew member is showing symptoms elsewhere on the ship so she leaves and locks the door as per quarantine procedure. having seen a neomorph burst out of the other crew member she realises whats going to happen to the other guy but by the time she returns the process has already started so she cant open the door. im sure the woman on the floor in the scene has fallen in shock, as what tends to happen, and she picks up the closest thing to hand to try and protect herself.

The Female in this shot is Tess Haubrich

She does not look like she is being attacked, directly maybe she is? Here is where i think this scene plays in.

1) She is part of the team who recover Cudrup (maybe others) and she is witnessing Crudrup getting Chest Busted.

2) She is in those Caves and she witnesses a Chest Buster (maybe she is part of a earlier crew who go down?) or even she is part of crew with Walter/Daniels who set down and explore but she gets broken off and witness a Chest Buster.

3)She witnesses something horrific like a person being attacked.

4) Maybe indeed she is giving Birth?

When Ridley had hinted a while ago now about a Chest Burster beating Scene...  and knowing the Covenant had Couples i felt that a re-do of the un-used Holloway Chest Buster from Spaights draft could be explored here... and also combine with Shaws infection.

And what if a already pregnant female was infected with the Black Goo, and it caused the Baby to become a Hybrid and the Female Gave Birth to it...

No soon as the Spore rumor came about i thought it sounded a bit daft.. and that having a spore infect a Pregnant Female and thus evolve  a Fetus or Egg would be the better option.

We did then see those leaked Props and some looked like Babies...

Which i then brought up my Belly-Burster idea again, especially when we heard of the Shower Scene where it was just said to be gruesome....

I thought well a infected Pregnant Female, in Shower Love Scene then she gives birth to a Hybrid Baby in a Gruesome way would surely make a great scene.

But alas the Shower Scene was just a Xeno tail...

But maybe we could see a Baby Belly-Burster after all ;)

This is something i would love to debate but maybe on another Topic listed as Spoilers, because i have studied the trailer and i think i have nailed the Timeline.....  the scene you refer to is not this Woman in the OT.

But i have figured the timeline out via Trailer of certain events, that i would love to discus but maybe not here...

It will show

*How far they got before any infections

*How the crew split up

*who dies in the Dropship

*when second infection happens

*who and then why (due to above) runs back to the Dropship to only see it blow up.

*maybe where David/Walter fits in.

*When Crudrup then gets Face Hugged.

I will SPOIL one element..  the Entire landing party minus Pilot do make it towards seeing the Juggernaught.... but they split up after this...

BigDave thanks for weighing in.  I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts over the past year.  Obviously my opinion is just my two cents, but honestly that position doesn't make sense unless on the floor, on a table, or birthing.

I do hope they leave the vast majority of the surprises out of the next trailer.  Having read just a few bits from the reddit spoilers, I have been tempted to jump remove myself completely and attempt to blackout my mind until the movie comes out.

BTW, when Ridley mentioned a scene that would one-up the chestburster...  I have really been thinking what that might look like.  The backburster and neckburster still can't top that scene.  The visceral nature of that pivotal scene in Alien can't be overstated enough.  If Ridley has successfully topped that scene, I am betting it is not in the trailer.  You may have an idea what that might be.

I don't know if this has been brought up but what if.........

OK the xeno/proto morph comes from an egg/face hugger and the neomorphs com from spores, so....

What if a neomorph was facehugged? 

Big Dave probably has already thought of this but I have not seen it so my apologies in advance.

Who knows...

I am not sure if a Neomorph could be Face Hugged but then if its DNA Xeno strain is not closer related, maybe it could do, i would assume the result would be a Monster that has more Xeno Traits and would be quicker, bigger and stronger.

I still dont know 100% what to make of Tess Haubrich scene, the back ground is out of focus and while its linked to the cave shot and it may seem to have similar back ground.. it may be somewhere else and the trailer is misleading us with how it pieces shots together.

A Example is the opening, where we see that Large Corridor with Blood on the Floor, and then Faris running down a smaller one to the Med Bay Room.

The first shot is not on the Drop Ship its the same style as on the Covenant and looks way to large to be on the Drop Ship... the other shots could likely be on the Drop ship as it makes sense as far as linking the scenes i.e shooting at the Neomorph to blow the Drop Ship up....  the shots of Farris running down those corridors may look large but its due to camera angle and shot.

I think david blows up the drop ship (going by the scene with david holding a grenade launcher) IMO

The reporter footage reports say that the dropship blows up because the crewmember shooting at the neomorph hits something explosive.

She looks upright to me. And maybe just wailing with relief having perhaps narrowly escaping capture by the monsters.

She's about to be attacked. Whatever it is, it is creeping up on her very slowly. The creature will be in view in the next few frames.

I believe it is the newborn which I have heard is a nasty wee critter even when young.

maybe a homage to ripleys face to face with the xeno in A3 scene, we just don't see whether its a xeno, proto or neo yet. think shes pretty much fu**ed whatever is happening

Makes sense.  I'm probably overthinking it.  I strongly believe this movie will be stellar.  The fact that so much "ALIEN" made it into this trailer leads me to believe there is a lot of cool stuff that we are not seeing.  I have half a mind to just go dark until the movie comes out.  Very difficult to wait for the movie!
