Hologram Motion Artifact Distortion
Ati
MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 11:33 AM...here you are, Ingeni, these are from the Take Me Home tv-spot, you mentioned earlier Shaw does not turn around, but if you look at the two shots, you can discover her nose, of course I'm not sure, what do you think? And please look at the cryo chambers, are they open? Are they intact? Is there Captain Funfield in the picture? :D Kill the pixels! :)
Ingeniero
MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 11:39 AMAti, I am so boneheaded. I didn't even look at the cryo chambers. Will do.
Ati
MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 11:44 AMOk, do it please, you are an expert, :), I have to go now, bye
(I think the second image shows Shaw turning/looking back. Something is approaching towards her? Just a possibility...)

MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 11:44 AMAti, here is an enhanced pic below of your screen shot above.

MemberOvomorphApr-08-2017 12:27 PMHi, the engineers holograms could seem to have artifacts perhaps because Engineers do not see the same way we see. I guess that they can see different kind of EM wavelenghts(heat,UV,etc...) that humans can't see and thus the holograms show them way more details and information. This is an aspect of their capabilities that have been underlined in the Alien Engineers script. It is too bad Ridley Scott has completely thrown this away in Prometheus as he make the Engineers and their technology way more impressive !

MemberFacehuggerApr-08-2017 12:56 PMHow often a day do you make the conscious decision to write out Dr. Shaw and David 8 instead of their short and common simple names?
Are you Asian/autistic or canadian, because nobody cares for a polite form of adressing fictive characters in the normal world.

MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 1:29 PMInquisitor Fifield, thank you for your inquiry below.
I'm glad you ask. I want my topics to have value. I know each and every one of my topics is not going to be epic but I would like for each to have a little reference value as well.
Internet search (I'm sure you are an expert but I'll brush over it quick) is based on an indexing of content in text form and otherwise with properties, images, etc. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a way to target that...hence formal names and terms opposed to your preferred slang terminology for characters.
When you search Alien: Covenant and include a formal name like Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and David 8, this forum and my topics come up in the Google search results.
To answer your first question above, I wanted to capture search engine traffic for the forum and my topics. I'm spending my time on it so why not make it valuable as a reference.
Please forgive me but I'm going to wait to answer your second question above.

MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 1:40 PMTimiteh, thank you for that. Yes, the Engineers see it differently and it's hard to judge the resolution based on that.

MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 3:17 PMDr. Ingeniero, the fact that you make copies of Inquisitor Fifield's fascinating comments like Asian=Autistic=Canadian is a brilliant idea. Taking into consideration the fact that Chris is from Canada, your topic in question has just gained a remarkably informative feature. :)

MemberFacehuggerApr-08-2017 5:03 PMSoooo is that why your are unnecessarily thanking everyone all the time including yourself when you are bumping your threads with your other accounts, for some sort of promotion to a non existing audience? (nice detail with your branding on some random screenshots nobody will ever care about, too)
I wonder how the scifi and forum regulations are for that sort of advertising behavior?

MemberPraetorianApr-08-2017 7:30 PMalienjunkyard, excellent artwork. Don't let that cute little puppy troll get you down though. He just needs a hug because he is a mad little cutie that doesn't like hyperlinks to relevant content.
I know what he likes.

Just an Inquisitors daily routine.
But dont be too mad now, I'm sure you will become a youtube success soon and revered expert for all questions regarding the Alien universe, when movie portals and journalists all over the world find your important work and brandings on google.

Love IT ;) ... no pun intended...
But anyway back to the Topic, indeed the one with Shaw sorry Dr Shaw lol does look as distorted as the Ghost Engineers running to the Big Head Ampoule Room.
I dont know if its any relevance though, i think all their Holograms will distort but indeed the Orrey Room one and those Engineers did not appear as distorted and so indeed it means maybe we can wonder does the recordings chance when a event is from a event that is a panic situation?
The Engineer Sight is a interesting point as indeed, Spaights draft did have it they could see different spectrum's etc to what we Humans Can. This is something that could potentially be at play and indeed we have to remember David 8's vision was also more enhanced than Mankinds and he looked at the Goo between his fingers before he activated the Hologram with a great deal of curiosity.
Oh in that one image i Noticed a Un-Engineer Face lol

MemberPraetorianApr-09-2017 3:16 PMThere is precedent in nature for vision systems seeing differently, as the ordinary Robin can literally See magnetic fields and lines of force.

MemberPraetorianApr-09-2017 3:46 PMBlackwinter-witch, that is excellent and I didn't know that about Robins. Very good and I will look into that more...great stuff. The Engineers have different capability in strength, embedded tech, etc...and why not vision.
