Everything you don't know about Alien: Covenant

MemberFacehuggerApr-20-2017 11:26 AMThis is probably my last post before I'm quitting this forum (till release).
We mostly made topics about what we knew of Alien: Covenant. Trying to piece things together and figuring out plot details.
Now that i feel like we've been shown too much, i wanted to talk about what you haven't figured out or don't know yet.
No mention of Empire Magazine's article, TV spots and press footage. Try not to spoil anything even for contextual purposes.
Let's get some hype back!

MemberFacehuggerApr-20-2017 11:31 AMHow Walter will pan out -
Will he protect the crew?
Will he try and steal Davids creations for WY?
Will he end up brown bread and used in Davids next experiment?
Will he team up with David?
Will he become David?

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2017 12:00 PMWill David confront with Walter?
Why Juggernaut crashed on Planet 4?
What happened to Shaw?
How Covenant ship will continue the colonization mission without full crew?
Is there any living Engineer on Planet 4 when Covenant arrives?
Why Engineer from Prometheus wanted to drop bombs on our planet?

MemberFacehuggerApr-20-2017 2:17 PMHow the record player got to Planet 4.
Walter and David's fate, though I fear Walter could get the shitty end of that stick.
More about the castes/factions of Engineer, and the history of the race.
If there is any form of like left on Planet 4, other than the varieties of xxxxxmorph, and if so how they have adapted to withstand/defend against goo. Or mutated into peaceful and non xxxxxmorph type creatures. Just because they aren't noisy doesn't mean they aren't there, perhaps they mutated/adapted to being silent as a form of self preservation.
If any humanoids/engineers escaped the onslaught.
Shaw's fate.
If there is, indeed, a Xeno in the movie (there seems to be a lot of people saying Xeno when I'm not convinced well see the traditional Xeno this time out - maybe a Deaconesque last shot cameo).
Whether or not Shaw does help David when they arrive in the juggernaut. Or if she is dead/hiding/in stasis/locked up as a prisoner/sedated/already escaped/on a different planet because she didn't like the plan/sleeping/praying/having another emergency c-section/etc.
What happens to the 2000 in stasis at the end of the film? Savagely massacred? Survive to seed a new world? In fact does the Covenant survive? Or is it self destructed? Maybe an engineer ship comes back and delivers a 'Big FU' to the Covenant.
And its a minor point but, I want to see what happens to Bronson/Franco while in stasis?
There are a few options:
1) Failed hypersleep pod? They all wake up to see him lying having been trapped and starved/dehydrated? Or if there are forms of nutrition supplied within the pod, old age.
2) He said he was unwell, and looked like death warmed up in Last Supper. Maybe Pneumonia? Drowned in phlegm while asleep?
3) Sabotaged pod? By whom? Why? There are a couple of options that are logical (only if the movie pans out in certain ways though).
Without saying too much, though it was explicitly implied ever since he was cast, whatever happened to Captain Franco we will see on screen, if only momentarily, before the pissing contest (power struggle?) begins with Oram and Daniels.

MemberDeaconApr-20-2017 7:50 PMI think a lot of those Questions may hopefully come from the ADF Novel Prequel and Alien Awakens we hope..
Apparently there are a few things we have not been shown in the trailers and so expanding the trailers and TV Spots etc etc, would only account for 70-80 Minutes so there is bound to be a good 40-50 Minutes of unknown.
What i mean by the 70-80 Minutes is i think roughly this is what the footage we have been shown expands to, a example would be the Moment Rigby becomes ill and Karine takes him back to the Drop Ship right to when the Neomorph breaks out and then chases after Farris and then she blows herself up trying to shoot it.
The Trailers when added this event would be what less than a Minutes worth of footage but i can see this whole sequence taking up a good 5-8 Minutes.

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2017 8:04 PMBig Dave, how many humanoids do you think lived on Planet 4? A few thousands? Millions, with perhaps underground housing? How far does the individual city go on for? Is it all of the valley?

MemberDeaconApr-20-2017 8:51 PMI will just zoom in and count them lol
Shall i have a guess lol

MemberDeaconApr-20-2017 9:05 PMOk.... well again my Maths could be wrong...
I worked out the diameter of the Courtyard based on the diameter of the Prometheus Hangers, assuming the one in this shot is the same size.
Compared to the Courtyard size difference to get the Courtyard Diameter which halved to make a Radius.
I then worked on average how far the crowd on average has gathered around the center as far as distance by Radius and then i worked out how many Humans can fit within a Sq Meter.
And unless again my Maths is flawed, thats about in Humans 1.2 Million to 1.8 Million...
Shocking i would have thought it was about 100'000 lol.

MemberDeaconApr-20-2017 9:14 PMSeems hard to believe and again my Maths could be wrong, but those black and other like speckles are people/Engineers.
The Statues are about 45-50M Tall
The Diameter of the Hanger is 430-450M Wide.
Basis for this Calculation.
These Gigs held nearly a Million People.
I would say the Courtyard is a Larger Area

MemberFacehuggerApr-20-2017 9:34 PMI feel like there's still a lot we don't know about this film, even though they've shown so much in the trailers. Especially with events that take place before Shaw and David arrived on the planet, which we know even less about at this point (and can't be completely certain of until clarified). What's exciting to me is that we don't know exactly what happened to Dr. Shaw yet.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Daniels & Tennessee in action, as well as learning more about their characters in general. Tennessee's character is interesting to me, and I think this film will help showcase McBride's talents as a serious dramatic actor. My feeling is that all the comedic moments that spontaneously transpired on set have been recreated and captured within the viral videos: imo the actual film will take a much darker tone (and contain far less comedy) than what we've been exposed to in the Last Supper vid etc.
