MemberOvomorphMay-07-2017 4:53 PM1. Prometheus
2. Alien
3. The Counselor
4. Hannibal
5. Blade Runner
6. Gladiator
Hannibal doesn't get enough love. It's macabre but done with zen-like beauty.

MemberFacehuggerMay-07-2017 8:26 PM1. Gladiator
2. Alien
3.blade runner director's cut
4.matchstick men
5.legend
6.the Martian...But prometheus could go about here for its visuals / feel and attempt at a really huge subject that I love and have been waiting for for years. The down side being the stupidity and plot holes / muddled nature of it.

MemberOvomorphMay-07-2017 9:26 PM1. Alien
2. The Counselor (completely misunderstood work of cinematic art + Fassbender + Bardem!)
3. Hannibal (discarded just because Jodie Foster turned it down? Really? Brilliant cinematography and brutal as only Sir Ridley could make it)
4. Prometheus (again, misunderstood, more value therefore)
5. Gladiator (solid quality; could place Gods and Kings or Kingdom of Heaven here too)
6. Blade Runner (adolescent memories)
7. (can I?) Thelma and Louise
I am sure Covenant will climb up that chart soon enouth

2. Alien
3. Gladiator
4.Prometheus
5.The Martin
6. Exodus: Gods and kings
But what I find interesting is how we app have Prometheus on our list's lol, and we have bashed it so many times lol... Myself included...

Yes it's not about it being an awful film I reckon. It's about what it could've been... looking at alien if prometheus just had the same solid realistic feel / events then it could have been up there with alien as a classic. People have high standards for prometheus because of alien and it's Ridley. It's just a pity it's no where near as good. Even aliens is quiet a bit better.

MemberFacehuggerMay-08-2017 5:14 AMInterestingly I haven't really watched other Sir Ridley movies, I found his direction style not really my type. But guess I should do a marathon of it to know this director more.
I heard Blade Runner is one of his best, maybe I shall try this out first.

MemberChestbursterMay-08-2017 5:35 AMI would've voted for the Martian, but Matt Damon was hard to watch. His "acting" (cough cough) is too subpar to carry a movie like he tried to do.

MemberOvomorphMay-08-2017 5:44 AMvalid point @djamelameziane hope covenant lived up to the hype... Didn't even notice my typo for "the Martian" lol
