The juggernaut is a female reproductive system?

MemberChestbursterMay-15-2017 12:43 AMI know that we have been through the biological and sexual aspects of Giger’s art before but as I sat looking at the juggernaut/derelict (on my desktop) it hit me that it resembles the female reproductive system, doesn’t it? So, it’s a gigantic womb producing the eggs? In the middle you have openings resembling vaginas. You also have lots of red colours in the corridors (if you watch Alien) hinting at menstrual blood. Also, the computer is “Mother”. Females produce eggs themselves, perhaps the juggernaut does as well?

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2017 4:39 AMThis is a very interesting idea! Would probably also explain why the spacejockey in Alien is fused with the chair. The ship, the jockey and everything in it is in a way one living organism.
I would love if there was in fact a "space jockey" race that created the engineers. This would explain the differences between the derelicts and size of the engineers. Maybe the engineers were just worshiping the space jockeys and mimicking their technology? The derelict in Prometheus/Covenant is clearly different than the one in Alien, much less Biomechanical and more "sterile and metallic". The derelict in Alien is so "lifelike" in a way it all hangs together (the biological look of it, the jockey fused with the chair, everything connected).
Maybe this race is dead and when David goes to their homeworld he uses some of their DNA to mutate himself to be a bigger, stronger biomechanoid who can operate their ships (maybe becoming the spacejockey in Alien) which would make him vulnerable to the xenomorphs and alien pathogen.
My god, picture the homeworld of the jockeys! A giger inspired biomechanical, dark and creepy "paradise".
I know im running wild here but i love these ideas. What do you guys think?

MemberFacehuggerMay-15-2017 6:45 AMI always believed the Juggernaut is a living system. Biomechanical ;)

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2017 7:27 AMYeah, I agrre with that. Therefore all interior have a same-shape with vagina, like the hallway (3 holes) on the Juggernaut ship

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2017 9:27 AMThat will also explain why there're only male engineers
Fox should accept all the crazy ideas to make next movie about engineers with real extraterrestrial nature, not about crowd of people who are exactly the same as people on Earth

MemberDeaconMay-15-2017 9:38 AMWell i was going to make a similar Topic once everyone had seen the movie.... but i will add my Two Cents... as i was going to explore one of 3 ways the Engineers fit within the Franchise and the whole Agenda..... one of those ways was to expand on Gigers ideas... but i abandoned my Prometheus 2 work because i could not choose which of the 3 ways to go.
I will first address some points on here. FEMALE Engineers.. Spaights draft hinted there used to be Females, but they Evolved themselves beyond needing Sexual Reproduction.... Alien Covenant those beings on Paradise/Planet 4 have Females (its a bit open for debate if these are the same Engineers as in Prometheus). As if they can Procreate then why did they create us?
The DIFFERENCES in Derelict/Juggernaught could be just superficial and a oversight... there are many... The Juggernaughts are more Synthetic Looking, while the Organisms in Prometheus and Alien Covenant are more Bio-logical.... Alien the Aliens where more Synthetic and Ships more Bio-Logical.
This left the debate that the Xeno and Derelict are related, and maybe those Engineers Re-engineered both of them, to make their own more Synthetic Ships but less Synthetic Aliens.
Sadly this is not the route they are going...

MemberDeaconMay-15-2017 9:47 AMGigers Alien Mural that was never used... This seems a hint that the Derelict Ships are Genetically connected to the Xenomorph, and the Ships Produce the Eggs.
Gigers idea was that the Derelicts are GROWN
He also had the idea that the Egg Silo... actually Produced the Eggs as they had like Pregnant Bellies that would Produce the Eggs.
I have pointed out that above these Pregnant Bio-Mechanical Bellies that Produce the Eggs is where HR Gigers Mural was to be placed.
A closer look at what the Mural showed was Humanoids in Space Suits that are similar to the Space Jockey that are Sacrificing themselves via Ritual to allow the Procreation of the Xenomorph.
Here is one of HR Gigers earlier Face Hugger Concepts there is another one too that shows the same Bald Humanoids, whos suits look the same as those in HR Gigers Alien Mural. These TWO Face Hugger earlier Concepts are in the Prometheus Mural.
This shows HR Giger had the idea that a Race of Bald Humanoids were used as Sacrifices for the Xenomorph.
I was going to follow this idea and mix it with the Annunaki Tale...
That maybe Mankind was created to replace these beings as Sacrifices because they Rebelled against this Task...
You see all along HR Giger had a Vision, that was the way they should have gone.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2017 9:50 AMThat's very strange that engineers do not need sexual reproduction. I'm sorry, but Giger's art is all about sex. I still believe there will be an accurate tribute to his works
BigDave
MemberDeaconMay-15-2017 10:04 AMWell it still is about that.... Gigers Art is all about in some cases Reproduction via Merging of Humanoids and Machines... where Machines use Humans for Reproduction.... or that Machines simply Produce Humans...
It appears that (if my Source was correct) that Paglen/Green Draft touched upon this, a bit.

MemberTrilobiteApr-07-2019 8:31 PMWell, here is a more in your face example of the Juggernaut representing a sexual organ. Who knows?
hox
MemberFacehuggerApr-11-2019 8:23 PMIf the Juggernaut has three ‘vaginas’ on its front side, I imagine there must be some kind of ship somewhere with three ‘penises’. Or maybe she enjoys group sex!

MemberTrilobiteApr-11-2019 10:01 PMLong term members who were here when this was Prometheus-Movie.com will remember that I too postulated the possibility that the Juggernauts are living vessels and female in nature, referencing Moya from Farscape and the Vorlon vessels from Babylon 5 as contemporaries.
I made the same observations regarding the "Set" inspired artwork BigDave showed us, showing the aliens lifecycle that Giger made for the first movie, and the obviousness of the three vaginal shaped entrances, and the possibility that the cargo bay was akin to a womb - although I now believe the eggs to be in an "augmented" dome upon which the derelict Juggernaut has docked with (more on that in a fresh topic, soon).
I also envisioned/speculated that the Space Jockey, and by extension the Engineers connected to the vessel on more than just a physical level - that the connection was mental and sexual also. This could even be used to explain why David murdered Shaw, slaughtered the Engineers and recreated the Xenomorph; because he was coerced by the Juggernaut.
@working joe & hox,
Again back in 2011/12, I postulated that Paradise would likely be a dark reimagining of the Wizard of Oz, with Giger and Lovecraftian inspired landscapes and grand visuals, with Shaw and David being guided through a series of macabre and deeply philosophical revelations. And at the beginning of this journey, I imagined the Juggernaut docking onto a landing platform atop a spire by having three phallic shaped erections enter into the Juggernauts three exits. Furthermore, I imagined at the tip of these phallic structures would be a small sealed hole that when touched would stretch open allowing those within the Juggernaut to pass through and inside them, with them acting essentially as penile airlock umbilicals.
