I say the derelict ship is millennia old in Alien, and Prometheus WILL involve time travel. The Nostromo crew observed the result of what occurred millions of years ago because the Prometheus crew will have time travelled into the past. SJ biotech ages and grows, including the ship. That is why the SJ command post is pristine and metallic in Prometheus (the very distant past). Over time the ship grows and becomes more biological and is susceptible to decomposition and fossilization. The Prometheus ship returns to our time after the events take place. This really makes sense to me and will work beautifully. Also, the terrain in Prometheus looks very different than in Alien. It would take an extraordinary amount of time for rock formations to grow around the derelict. And, the atmosphere is very different as well. But, what the hell do I know! It's just a theory that works perfectly well with me until Prometheus is released!

I would love to see this unofficial trailer too Cypher. But like you I am crap with computers. I am hoping for another trailer to come out around the awards or maybe just after. Thats common place for big films these days.

It’s alive, it’s moving and it sure as hell does not look human. The second, at :39 sec, is of a bulge moving in someone's stomach. No I'm talking about the leaked version Bell, not the official one. Click on the link craigamore posted. I might be wrong, in the official one I think there's smoke coming off him, so they may have edited the flames out..... I just watched the leaked one again, in that one he's definitely on fire.

The hand I speak of is in a shot that has very red tones to it....very hard to see...look for the shot of the SpaceJockey chair rising out of the floor....the hand shot I speak of immediately precedes it....It's right before it...no one ever seems to see what I'm talking about...I hope you do...

Yeah I do see what you mean now craigamore.... Had to look real close on the 40 inch (Thank the Force for HDMI capable laptops!) but I ended up seeing what you mean. Good spot!

Ahh I see what you mean, I'm not sure, there is a lot of overlay in the trailer from frame to frame. The derelict crash / explosion is just before the clip off the mutant jumping. Yes it does look like a hand and does look like the mutant is on fire; but IMO I think it's just the overlay of the explosion. I think there is footage on one of the coutdown trailers that shows the mutant guy running and climbing up the side of the vehicle, then the guy with the flame thrower runs shoots in front of the vehicle distracted, then the mutant guy jumps from above..........

If you have VLC player, use that and slow it right down, that's what I did and I saw definite flames on his back and legs............

Yes my friend slowed it down to x0.03 and watched frame by fame. I think anyone could be right on this. I'm just sceptical because of the explosion overlaying into the image. I agree it could be a very cleverly hidden image.

@BellaisanAlien....do you think you could screen capture that hand pic from the leaked trailer......I'm unable to and would love to see it more clearly if possible.

You aren't the only crazy one craigamore..... trust me on that one ;-) It also helps if you're watching it on a big TV too, I hooked my laptop up to my 40 inch LCD that's why I'm 99 per cent sure he's on fire.... but it's that damn 1 per cent that always bugs me........

@Craigamore, I'll give it a go. The only issue is VCL player doesn't take very good quality screen captures. I tried to do some screen captures of the 'creature shooting out' in the leaked trailer, but when I loaded them on to photobucket and posted them on here they were tiny.

There is yet another, earlier leaked trailer from the Comic-Con 2011 that reveals even more from the film. It was yanked by Fox pretty quickly. I can only find screen shots from it.

Yeah I've seen parts of that trailer, I'll try to see if I can find it. It shows the hand on the cryochamber and a hand (possibly Davids) with something crawling under the skin........

That would be good if you can, I've Googled it myself and came up empty....... But ya never know do you?

There was another scene I thought you were talking about that had that hand in it....... I think it was looking at the medical table from another angle, I was kinda confused and spent the last few hours trying to find it...... But now I see what's happened ;-) not your bad, we all see things sometimes :-P

Can someone "link" me to the "white worm", the "black hand", the "squirming in someone's stomach" that has been discussed? I am in the US and the trailer I have seen has none of that! Do you have any screen shots? Any stills? Please PM me!

I am clealry being very stupid here but.. I cannot see any 'black hand' on the 1st picture above. All I can see is the mutant about to jump. Help someone please, I need to see this thing.

I also think that is the dude about to jump off of the thing.
