I hope that they show some new things, but not a whole lot. I of course want to see a lot more but I want to keep everything a mystery, plus it gives all of us more to talk about and more speculation from everyone.

one of the best things about the teaser trailer was the music.....ab- fab!!!.....so if this new trailer wants to succeed........either the same music or some glimpse of the psychological or physical torture the cast might experience and a very quick glimpse of some nasty extraterrestrial being ...!!....maybe the new pre dated xeno....who knows?

Yeah the music was AMAZING! So chilling aswell and epic sounding. . . When this new trailer comes out though, I'm gonna be watching it even more than the first one! Yeah a pre-Xenomorph would be amazing to see, or just seeing it sneek up behind someone maybe!

Well I'm not sure if the shitty AVP movies are "canon" or not, but wasn't he an old man in AVP and that was set in the 2000's?? If so, we can assume the best that those 2 movies are irrelevant. Yay! :) Patrick Wilson is an ok actor aswell. . .

Would be nice to see Prometheus during the Super Bowl. It would give it a lot of publicity.

@Engr101, I might be going against the grain, but I'm actually glad there is no new trailer for Prometheus! I kind of like the old style, you're gonna have to wait til the theater to see more type of marketing approach. Hell, it worked for Cloverfield and I'm going out on a limb by stating that Prometheus is going to be ten times better than Cloverfield.

They had to put something in the film to lighten the mood. Why not smack a cat around a little bit?

In zoos the keepers hide meat in containers so the animals have to work to get it out. Xeno is going to have to break glass to get Jonesy... And lol @Snorkelbottom.

In the novel, the Alien was beating the crap out of the cat box - throwing it around the cabin and jamming it into cracks and crevices - to get it open. It's not that the Alien rejected the cat, it's just that it couldn't figure out how to get the box open, and it didn't have a can opener! Scott was very keen that the audience should not see to much of the Alien, and showing it throwing the kitty around the ship probably would have given to much away. From what i've heard, cat meat is kind of stringy anyway. I suspect though that the lazy critter that hangs around my house would be mostly fat.

....the ship lean....i think it has been discussed.....not widely tho.....cause I think no one cares.....but to be honest....i don't even wanne go into that subject...I tought the ship landed upright and the eventually fell over on LV 426.......but some people seem to think that their is not just one ship ....and also the planet ?..... maybe it is not LV426?,,,,at this point I am beyond caring....does it really change the premise of the story? U know when u come to sites like this to often.......amazingly and rather miraculously....eventually it becomes boring....yet here I am everyday.....so what does that say about me.....? But enough about me....i have no fucking clue if the ship is landing or taking of....but it looks like it is crash landing IMO...

@Juxtapose I hear ya brother!! I think of something to say all the time, then search and find its covered. I hate that they are locking posts.. but whatever. I used to be a moderator for ffxidats.com back in the day, and we never locked a post (unless it was an argument, or a flame fest). Usually the forum members would mention that it was covered already and provided a link to the covering post, and the conversation would end there. And if a topic was placed in the wrong section we "the mods" kindly just moved it to the right section, and no one would complain or really even notice. @bigbirdjimmy I am sorry to not really have contributed either here. But I will try to add to it. My guess is that it is right before the scene of the ship falling, and we are starting to see the dust and dirt moving beneath as the ship starts to slowly tip before the big fall. Hope that contributes in some small way :)

Shadowcaster, I am also a moderator on another site and I have never found a reason to lock a thread but It could be because we don't have many flame wars about laser scanner software. : ) I Just don't see the point in locking threads on double or similar posts at all here and I agree that often those posts are adequately corrected by other members. I was really hoping for topic mergers instead. After watching this site grow I have concluded it is going to be almost impossible to prevent and discourage repeat threads. I think the member/topic turnaround is just too fast and in another couple of months a new generation will be running the show. I am of the opinion now if you can't beat em join em.
