[i]For movie fans like us, we're particularly psyched for [Super Bowl Weekend] because studios will debut new trailers for some of their biggest movies in the coming months.
Unfortunately, only three of the six major studios will buy commercial spots during this year's Super Bowl. Since a 30-second spot cost on average $3.5 million this year, we can see why some studios may want to spend that money elsewhere, especially when a movie they want to promote is still a long ways off.
So, we'll be seeing trailers from Disney, Universal, Paramount and Relativity Media. Warner Bros, Sony, and Fox will probably take to the Internet for their trailers.

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012Would be nice to see Prometheus during the Super Bowl. It would give it a lot of publicity.

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012You will see aborted fetuses courtesy of Randall Terry during the commercial breaks. Pretend they're chest bursters.

MemberOvomorph02/3/2012@Engr101, I might be going against the grain, but I'm actually glad there is no new trailer for Prometheus! I kind of like the old style, you're gonna have to wait til the theater to see more type of marketing approach. Hell, it worked for Cloverfield and I'm going out on a limb by stating that Prometheus is going to be ten times better than Cloverfield.
