I like the sound of "a slow burn." Hopefully, there will be more character development in "Prometheus" than there was in "Alien," so we actually care when they meet an unpleasant end.

I thought Ridley Scott wants to create a trilogy or two movies back to back and explore others worlds or fears before get to close to the xenomorphs and leave us with many doubts. Like it did with Alien using the same strategy..

I think there will be alien creatures of new varieties. Ridley just didn't want to confuse PROMETHEUS with an ALIEN sequel with heavy duty HALO/AVATAR action. He wants to go back to the slow burn suspense thriller template he started in 1979 ALIEN. So if they mentioned Xenomorph, fans will be jumping up & down: "YEA !!! AVATAR with more gore!" I think Ridley will be absolutely horrified at this reaction, lol!!

Tha Slow Burn Suspense he will use is what have us expecting more and more new things. I hope the new trailer doesn't show too much I don't like it

I think we'll see some form of the alien. At the end of one of his interviews he was talking about keeping some secrets locked up until the movie comes and then he said and a few things that may be familiar and then he laughed. So what else is familiar from alien, we've seen he jockey ship already, the space jockey (sort of). So I think he's referring to the alien or its lifecycle

I absolutely support Fox decision NOT to reveal the alien life form in the teaser or trailer, not even the FULL trailer. I am hoping the 2nd Trailer (probably during Superbowl Weekend) will reveal more visual teases, not full revelation. The PROMETHEUS teaser has been compared to INCEPTION campaign with its booming horn. Well, the best INCEPTION trailer is the first one, with only close-up images of a spinning top, Leo fully drenched in bathtub, JG Levitt actor fighting in zero gravity, and a shot of Leo waking up, that's it! The movie opened to the tune of $60 million due to the Intrigue Factor alone.

Yea craigamore, it comes out in 4 months so they have to be in the middle of adr or at least just started the process. Maybe he lied b/c its an easy way to stop the questions. If he said he saw most of he film he would be bombarded with questions

I doubt that a highly intelligent being would chase and eat anything like some kind of animal. I reckon if this is true its probably some kind of Xenomorph, possible bust from some unknown species..... Not a SJ.

Guys, This is related to the Bogus Kate Dickie Interview (IMO). The story goes that the crew awakens from cryo to skeletal aliens chasing and eating the crew. Again I think its misinformation and this has been discussed. Regards, Rick

Remember what Ridley´s says: "This movie it´s going to change or human kind vision". Perhaps humans were created by an alien race, to be used as meat ... while other beings were created as biological weapons ... We have to forget the traditional vision of Alien, and think of something new and surprising. Imagine if humans were ... the virus, being "xeno". We are destroying the planet, wiping out animal species ...

Hi Putamurcia, First thing you need to know is that the Katie Dickie article isn't really a true interview. The person writing the article took most of his information, including the skeletal monstrosities, from a FAKE prometheus plot written by Robotpo on IMDb. Her only real quotes in the whole article are: “You can get caught up in all that stuff” “I dont feel any pressure, I just get on with the job at hand” They even got her character name wrong "Mudow" which was also in the fake plot. So this interviewers research went as far as to google Prometheus Plot, and look at some fan fiction. The actual quotes might have nothing to do with Prometheus.

The SJs wouldn't chase people to eat them! As highly sophisticated beings, they would book a table at a good trendy restaurant where people would be served up with perhaps baby vegetables, spring garnish, a white sauce and fine wine. I don't know if eating us is on the table (another joke!) but perhaps the SJs as our Gods are interested in our reproduction/evolution.

SJ, We are working on discussion topics under the main threads. The issue is we have 800+ Discussion Topics and ALOT are repeat threads, or threads posted in the wrong category. The website gets cluttered with alot of repeats and wrong locations. This is only going to get worse with the number of members going up 10+ per day. So we're premptively trying to limit repeats, please try to look at it from our perspective, if we don't start getting things in order now it will only get out of hand from a mangement perspective. Please scroll back through the threads and expand on what has already posted or relate the discussion to another thread if it springs up another topic of discussion. We are not limiting the good atmosphere we are asking that you think about what you want to post, make sure it hasn't been discussed somewhere else and make sure its not in the wrong category, thats all. Note: When I lock a Thread I always give a reason why it was locked. Is there any way to modify this forum to reflect other message boards? What I mean is, when you post a reply to a certain thread, is there any way to make that thread "bump" up to the "front of the line" so to speak? As it stands now, if you reply to a thread that is several pages back, there is a good chance that you won't get any replies and those threads just seem to get lost in purgatory.
