also if you look at it properly there are 2 eye holes on it, helmets don't have eye holes like those! Even further, lets say you guys are 100% right and it's a helmet, well, the helmet would have to have come off a living thing which I would assume would be far more interesting to examine than a helmet, so where is the rest of the suit? No, that's got to be a Head !

Because as I was saying an archeologist and a DR, with a mask would not be examining a Helmet on a hospital bed.

Think how this works is it is a suit like our bodies are suits for our souls if that makes sense. So your eyes are just a machine that allows your soul to see in a certain perspective. If it was a biological organism based technology they should definitely take precautions. I would expect no matter what it was they would follow laboratory protocols.

That''s obviously the medical facility on board Prometheus. So I am guessing that It's an assumption to begin with that this scene is taking place on Earth which i 100% disagree with as well. All of that said, these are only my opinions and I could turn out of course to be Most Wrong !!! For me that is the fun part of it because I do not mind one bit being wrong, I always learn something new from each mistake I make. I just don't think this is going to be one of those times. Common Sense just tells me it won't be !

The stormtrooper helmets in 'Star Wars' have two eye ports...don't they? And every mock helmet made for collectors has the inside set with binocular ports. I've seen them...and no I don't own one. We do know there's a beginning of time sequence at the start of the film...so it's a logical leap to suggest something left by some alien race, SJ or not, is found and leads to the Prometheus expedition. Now....I agree with you on the whole "calling card" thing. Where does that come from? I don't like it. It doesn't make any sense to me.

I agree with what you said but the holes in this particular "helmet" don't look like helmet holes to me, they look like almost perfectly positioned eye sockets on a face.

If I may interject somehing, in one of my earlier posts I said that I got the feeling that the SJ figure. Representations of SJ's were like effigies to somebody out there. That they paid homage to the SJ species which for some reason had cultural significance to them. Like the figures the Aztec's and Mayans had in their temples for different dieties. If the SJ' are Gods to certain of their progeny then the suit, the statues and all the represetations you have up until now seen are copies of a being that someone, perhaps the engineers reveres. That would mean there are two distinct species. The actual SJ's, and the Engineers who for whatever reason diefy SJ's. I know far fetched.....but something isn't adding up with all the suits, figures, and one big blue bald guy. A calling card doesn't neccessarily mean they intentionally wanted us to come and find them. It's simply a slick ref for physical evidence, Like the DNA at a crime scene that leads investigators to find the perp.

it says clues to the origin of mankind on Earth, not that the clues themselves are found on Earth! i see what you mean now although I never looked at it that way and now that you are re stating it, one never knows maybe you are right and that's what that meant. I still don't think so, and with all due respect I am sorry to be so stubborn about it, but I still feel the same way. Edit: my thinking is a SPACE CREW does NOT go exploring the EARTH for clues to mankind's origins, I believe they are looking for these clues in Outer Space when they stumble across a Big One, The Ampules Themselves. And having said that it is however entirely possible that the Ampule room does in fact turn out to be on earth and that would make you 100% correct !!! Could go either way I guess.

That statement in the plot section is too open ended. It can be interpreted either way. Regardless of where they find clues leading us on this journey it was merely a conjecture regarding the safest place to put something so important.

Still I think it takes place not on earth but inside it. There was a old post-it note written in hieroglyphs that came from the set of alien that was based on a comic book that was written by the ghost of one of the production crew that said the Spacejockey race were avid tunnel makers and not unlike mole people. If you combine that with the known fact that Ridley was fascinated with the chewy caramel center of the chocolates that he sent himself all the time and how he kept making reference to how he hoped the earth had a chewy caramel center it then makes perfect sense that 30 years later he would insist his movie Prometheus takes place entirely in the earth's delicious core.

In retrospect I think it's a good one and respect it...like you said the description is quite vague. Edit: I getcha "Bio", that works for me. Can't wait to see the film and have all these tiny things unravel for us in definitive ways, that for me will be a very exciting EXTRA element to this film and because of this forum all of our experiences in the theater may even be more enhanced and enjoyable because of it.

Weyland would take the CLUEs and build an expedition to ZETA RET based on definitive findings that indicate that our evolution was influenced by someone that came from or left indications of having come from Zeta Ret.

What if by finding on earth they meant like some kind of genetic archeological discovery in man (or woman). Like how they now can trace our ancestors back to a woman in Africa. Over 98% of our genetics has unknown functions. Maybe inside these codes is a map to the planet.

Easter-Egg report Section 2: Part 5: No Eggs Found. Although just the fact that Johner gets another crack in at least when asking Ripley to play Basketball with him... and for me, that's cathartic enough to be one. I also Loved the expansive spread out door hives in the Dream Sequence. Part 6: "Royal-Jelly" - The makers of the film actually had to use K-Y-Jelly to enhance the Alien mouth/jaw effects... so that right there... is a MAJOR Easter-Egg !!! While they were filming Alien they used TONS of K-Y Jelly for Alien Close Up special effects, and they even had 2 guys running around during each "Take". I also just loved when Ripley realizes she herself is at least partly made of metal, which was/is a CLASSIC WRITTING "device" which is used commonly in Sci-Fi stories to garner sympathetic support from the reader for the protagonist. It's the Old story of the Android realizing it is NOT really human, yet wants to be, or in this case a Human that is realizing she is no longer human but rather part Android and is maybe not the same anymore as she once was. That she's been permanently altered through science. In this case...Evil Science. Part 7: "Gloves"...another cute little sly reference to one of the opening scenes in resurrection where Ripley is discovered to have "synaptic dissonances" handed down to her by the Alien through generations of development. She is doing one of those Ink Blot style tests and id's a Glove. Part 8: “Synthetic replication of her pheromones should be complete within…” This idea is the key to the entire plot...& the Easter-Egg is that in the fact that we learned in the game "Aliens Versus Predator" created by Sega and which was ported to the PS3 among other consoles we discover that The Xenomorph's ability to SEE although without any eyes is achieved through their own natural ability to detect human secreted chemical compounds called "pheromones". "I was wrong, so wrong". An obvious Easter-Egg and reference to Prometheus itself and the Derelict's signal, whatever that turns out to have been. Part 9: The Resurrection of ASH, how much more "Easter-Egg" can I get ? To Be Continued!

Eater-Egg report Section 3: Part 10: Just the Synthetic Soldiers themselves are an Easter-Egg, they did not appear in any of the 4 original films but rather the video game I mentioned earlier... SEGA's "Aliens VS Predators". yet Another sly reference to Resurrection... "...and looks at them, almost comically, “Hey you guys!” Behind them Ripley 8 punches an arm into each, reaches inside and grabs their spines housing their neural relays before crushing them, deactivating the synthetic soldiers..." {Similar to her blowing a queen to bits with a shotgun after appearing from beneath it in Resurrection.} "...As Ripley smiles back something erupts from Calls chest. It stretches the fabric of Calls top before eventually tearing through. The head of the grappling rope opens just before the Major, instigator of the attack retracts the cord. Call is jolted backward from Ripley 8’s reach but manages to grab the bottom of the ramp with one hand..." So strikingly reminiscent of our first real "ALIENS" film Easter-Egg...It's Bishops death via Xeno-Tail all over again !!! Part 11: Just a note, I liked that you started it off on the Raven with a reference to the "Red Laser Scanning Pen and Triangle" type display. This type of space design always reminds me of the whole Ancient Alien and Pyramid theories and just creates such a cool atmosphere IMO. Ripley 8 "Waeves" out of the way...very very funny and hidden, nice Easter-Egg reference to Sigourney. Part 12: Got nothing left to say, except the ending you wrote should go down in science fiction history of the End Of The Female Hero In The Sci-Fi Flick Era. Amazing Job "Snorky" I am sure there are things buried deep in there that I am just never going to find without your pointing them out!!! Well its been a while since I wrote this sparky but some of the ones you missed are... 1. Hey you guys is actually a reference to The Goonies, Classic Film 2. The Paris event is a reference to the alternate ending for Alien Rez 3. The Major says something like "after 500 years", which would mean he is referencing the start of the twentieth century (can you figure out what that means) 4. The Queen having a 8 on her forehead is a reference to the AVP game by sega 5. The Royal Jelly is a reference to the dark horse comics, as are the synth soldiers and the phermones Also there is a deeply hidden one regards the old computer panel-signal-derelicts, can you figure that one out too

Okay, thanks for confirming your location Spartacus. Since you're in Canada and have a different Region Coding to me, it seems I'll need to look elsewhere. As I said, I ideally need a fan-editor who's based in a 'PAL' part of the world so that I can relay the exact same BLU-RAY (or DVD) 'timings' as they have, or things would get too tricky for us both. However, once the 'PAL' edit is done, I'm hoping that an 'NTSC' version of it can be organised too, so that both can be made available to everyone interested eventually. But while I appreciate that I can potentially cobble this together myself to some degree eventually, I'm really hoping to find someone who's got experience of fan-editing already, and who's good enough to do a reasonably seemless job of it. I'm hopeful that I'll find someone who'd like to see the particular version I've got in mind too, and have a few contacts in mind. Thanks for your interest though.
