Hey Juxtapose, I just had to go through the same thing. I find it's easiest to join 'Photobucket'...then load your photos into that website...then copy & paste the image "[img]" link of a particular photo into your 'Prometheus' post. In Photobucket, the image links (and others) will be on the right side of your screen...once you've selected a specific picture. Good luck. Let me know if you have further questions about it. lol when you make your post and you add the code with little picture box above on the box I am typing right now while I make this...make sure it just has the address to where the pic is in it and the little box will add some code to the front of it and the end of it.

Not sure, but I think the dead jockey in the ampule room is just the empty bio-mechanical suit, minus the years of decay/ fossilization mentioned in the original Alien. That would explain why the head was separated from the body. It would be better if it was the body- torn apart by some massive monster, but I have a feeling that won't be the case. No one in the room seems concerned that there is a threat around, past or present. If you found a 10-foot tall body with the head torn off, I would think the folks would be a bit more on their guard instead of casually looking around like they are at Wal-Mart. I've seen quite a few other discussions that all point to the same line of thought. That is that there aren't any real monsters in this film, aside from mutated crew members and a smaller, somewhat benign being that is the actual jockey. I hope they are all wrong, because that will be a major disappointment.

I read in one of the other discussions that the Prometheus crew were doing an MRI on the head of the Space Jockey. Not sure if this is the case, also not suggesting that they removed the head, but obviously if it is the case, they found it? I do agree with you though, even discovering a bipedal creature wearing evidence of advanced technology puts a certain funk on a person coming from a planet that until recently believed it was the LONE gunman in this shootout. It's one of those pivotal events that makes a thinking person sit down and rethink his place in the heirarchy of things. Finding out you are little more than a glorified lab rat can do that.

Ridley can't do an Independence Day; having a puny alien inside I super suit. It does look like a head or helmet on the research table. Still can't see any aliens; the one I thought was a Xeno with someone jumping from above seems to be a member of the crew in a space suit with someone jumping at him from above - mutated crew or insane android? The only xeno type thing I can find is in the original leaked trailer where something jumps quickly out of either an egg or a tube - all apear to be some sort of biological organism. I'm thinking the parasite / alien in the suit could be quite small; taking a human as a hoste?? But I agree this will be lame as I would like to see a space jockey in all it's splender. The original space jockey may have been wearing a suit but it had teeth and ribs..............

maybe the head was out of the suit ...

There is another possibility... Maybe the suit is alive, sentient. Maybe it symbiotically fuses with the wearer and takes them over, think Stargates Gu'Uld but the other way round.

Thats not a bad concept. I have considered the sj as a being molded into a suit ever since I saw Alien 30 years ago and was totally fascinated by it. The fact that there were absolutely no answers or mention of it when out of sight was quiet brilliant. All the question and all those years and here it is. I will hang my hat on it being a suit and if you look carefully at the original pics see if you can determine where the join is between sj and ship.

and another possibility about the Jockey suit... Maybe the trunk-like appendage descending from the derelict ships "Jockey" isn't a component part of its suit or body. Could that be a fossilized facehugger? Maybe the Jockey was impregnated by a Jockey-based facehugger that died naturally in place while mounted to its host? looking at photos of that thing sitting in the chair has me wondering...

nah I had 2 see all of them (at least up to the newly leaked one....which is a shitload better that the previous one)....it goes from bad quality to much better quality....and to super HD quality (soon) ....why not own the lot!.... Plus their is actually a few other things present in the new trailer...more stuff to scrutinize....more fuel for the ongoing speculations....still Sir. Ridley is keeping the most important bits.....this trailer has the ability to make u super curious....but at the same time if u asked anyone about it (especially people who does'nt care or ever watched the alien movies)...they would go...aah...no...i dunno what it was about?....it just looked and sounded really awesome!

remember that in few minutes or hours we should have the third part of the trailer previews that show some things that arent in the official trailer ( guy pearce , the mutated/burned man and other interesting stuff )

Looks like the Derelict is supposed to stand upright? What we see in Alien is the toppled Derelict It looks like we see it falling in this trailer,while the crew run for their lives? Anyone agree with this theory,or have an explination?

HOLY COW...........Alien prequel or not this is going to be an EPIC!!! I mean Sci Fi has not had something big like this since I don't know when. I love how the font and the atmosphere just screams Alien. But this is so much bigger! I love it! I love that Ridley has made the story of the Space Jockey come to the big screen not Fincher, Bay, Summers, Joss Whedon, Bruckheimer, the freak who made Chronicles of Riddick or Cameron who has the ego to call it the giant dentist (but what do you expect from the TOOL that made Titanic and Avatar to make a comment like that). Only Ridleys vision and way of playing into the atmosphere can tell the story of this space jockey type being well ( I guess in the comics they are know as the Malakik or something like that). Also dialog between characters in this movie is going to be very real life like. But that scene with the face being splashed with acid is totally freaking me out! I feel like I am standing right in front of him as it is happening!

That is such a great point about Ridley, it was always HIS VISION after he saw, that was it again... painting # 4 in Giger's "Necronomicon"?

yeah....it's all crystal clear now...it is lv 426 (or whatever it was called)....the ship falls and later it becomes the mysterious derelict ship that has fallen on that planet....viola!....all speculation ended on that subject....(probably not)...but I am more or less convinced....so whatever secrets it holds...one of them is the face hugger...that lays an egg...the egg hatches a xeno and their is your story!....lol....well end of Prometheus...sure their will be plenty happening before that! ...people becoming and slowly morphing into hideous abominations....like "The Thing"....but in space....(Someone posted something like that).....anyway...that in a nutshell is what I am hoping for...but hopefully it will be filmed in a very sophisticated kinda way...in fact i am sure it will be...not only sophisticated but also thought provokingly epic!

Not so sure about the derelict supposedly being vertical normally. If that were so, then everything in the original Alien would be up on one side. The floors would have been the walls. I still think this derelict may not be the same one. The "shoe horn", or one end of one half of the thing is damaged in the trailer. In Alien, it wasn't. I'm probably putting WAY too much thought into this...

@ 6.08.12 Yip way to much thought....it's not a cruise liner with fine china and crystals and tables and chairs!...nothing needs to be damaged....everything on the original "Alien" looked very organic....so who knows how that kinda ship will take damage?....my guess is it will take very little....except for the outside. I am just hoping that whatever is inside that space jockey suit is not human....or even human looking...maybe they got a xeno inside their....lol

I like the way the ship is meant to be vertical - in regards to the walls being the floors...what if the jockeys have some gravity defying ability? Or maybe the rooms rotate depending on the axis of the ship? That's a jockey head on that surgeons bed isn't it?
