Before Alien: Covenant, Prometheus would have spawned a very different sequel. Back then, the working title for Ridley Scott's Prometheus 2 was at one point called Alien: Paradise Lost. To celebrate Alien Day 2024, concept artist Daniel J Burns shared a couple pieces of artwork he had created for the scrapped Prometheus sequel before Ridley and the Studio shifted direction towards Alien: Covenant.
The concept art below depicts what looks like a fully grown Deacon inside another Juggernaut ship as well as a group of people dressed in Prometheus-style space suits investigating a landscape similar to that of LV-426 or perhaps one of the other pyramids left abandoned on LV-223. Could Prometheus 2 / Alien: Paradise Lost have featured a Weyland rescue mission which would have seen a new crew discover the adult Deacon and what became of the creatures left behind on LV-223? We'll never know...
What do you think of these concepts? Do they paint a more attractive picture than what we got with Alien: Covenant? Let us know in the comments!
