RON COBB'S INFLUENCE...?

in 1987 via the local video store (missed it on the big screen in 1979 sadly)
since seeing ALIEN, i've collected a fair amount of books on the making of it,
and i am lucky enough to own a copy of a book called "Colorvision" by the great
concept artist Ron Cobb who was responsible for a great deal of the look of the
Nostromo's sets / props / etc...which is in that particular book
i was wondering, if anyone else has noticed or caught on to the fact that a LOT
of what seems to have been designed and scripted for PROMETHEUS has been
directly sourced from some of the now classic the pre-production artwork Cobb
did for Scott and O'Bannon for the first ALIEN waaaaay back in 1977 / 1978
like the urns / vases / vessels that are on the dwelling ground of the ENGINEER'S
home world, as well as the "STARBEAST" name that describes what one of the
characters ends up transforming into on that "leaked" script that has been debated
and disregarded by most folks on these boards....
if anyone else knows what i am referring to,
can you humor me and let me know your thoughts
thanx
