Ok, over the months Ridley has been dropping hints as to the truth about Space Jockeys. Recently he said that the Space Jockey body is actually a 'suit'.
I immediately thought: "Well, that means that the Jockeys are actually humans."
And Lo and Behold, in the recent trailer, (watch in HD) go to 44 seconds in to see the Jockey "Throne room-navigation chair", look directly behind the "S" in Prometheu'S' and you will see a pale, bald, human with clothing of Giger-esque design. He looks as if ready to enter the chair and procure the 'suit'. I was right.

MemberOvomorph12/22/2011Just my thoughts.....
The human changing/morphing is Holloway....In slow mo his name can be seen on the skull cap. Also the scene with the acid on helmet when the vitim is holding his face clearly shows a brain like pattern developing on his skull....similar to the mutant. Could the viles contain DNA that provide the missing link between man and early primordial life. When a humanoid is exposed to the goo/acid he actually reverts back to a wild ape like animal.
2001: explored this when ape came into contact with the monolith and enlightenment for creation of weapons that enabled them to progress further than other ape tribes.I would consider the grey to be a space engineer.....or one of the creators.
Space jockey I would hint as the cleaners/workers or couriers to new worlds that unleash xenomorphs to remove unwanted life forms in prep for humanoid DNA creation/ life forms. I would also consider a possibilty (The meaning of "Prometheus" stole fire from the gods and gave it to man) and in some way evidence of the origins of mankind on earth were not removed, leading to the exploration to a planet and therefore broken a rule that any created being not learn from which/where they came.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011 I have seen other two interesting images in the trailer that might as well explain this a bit. The part where the woman falls on her knees, you can see a bald guy on a chair with Fassbender and another person. This same bald guy is seen on the part where they are heading out a door and two crew members are shooting at something. So I am guessing this strange bald man could be a 'mutated' human that eventually turns into this figure we see in the image.
This could match the premise of the movie too, being this creature or mutated human, the one that pisses off the Jockeys by stealing the tech, ship, dna, or whatever the Jockeys have. This creature could be the one jumping from the top of the vehicle on the other part of the trailer too...
Because consider my last theory, it could be just too bad for Ridley to allow people see the high premise of the movie which is the Jockey in the trailer, after so much anticipation. It makes no sense, if that is the case.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011he's probably a result of eugenics program on earth and serves as a merc for space faring expeditions.
he might also be a combat class android working with the mercs to borrow a theme from blade runner.

MemberOvomorph12/23/2011the theme was already present in the movie. don't care about the non-canon stuff.
also, if you have a point, you might want to just come out with it directly instead of being vague like a coward with low self esteem.
