Hello everybody. First of all, congratulations to all of you because of your many ideas, knowledge and theories. Good work! Yesterday I got an idea rounding on my mind and I commented it in another thread, so I have seen again the trailer and I have noticed a couple of things: First One: the road When, apparently, the team is coming back the Prometheus you can see it. It appears to me to be a very well done road. Where do they exactly are? The Second: the raising chair I find this very interesting to start some debate. In the trailer, all of us have focused on the figure that appears to le right side of the image, but the yesterday I got something. Have you noticed that the space-jockey chair is raising from the floor. And that makes me think: What we know and have seen in ALIEN movie that is under that place? Well, I think this is a good starting point for some more good conversation around here!

hello !! ...yes the road is well made but is also something that can have be done by some bulldozers ...its not paved and or ancient ...and it seems to start from the ship ..so maybe was artificially made by the prometheus crew ? i see other tires traces near ....

I just looked at that road using a 1080P source image. It's not a solid structure like a concrete/asphalt road. The surrounding ground looks very dusty and not packed down (think sand versus clay). My best guesses are that this path was made by vehicles driving back and forth, or the bottom of the ship scraped the ground as it came in for a landing, or they actually pulled something behind the vehicles. As for what's below the chair.. Obviously the egg chamber silly! J/K I think this control room is a multipurpose room that can be configured depending on it's function. Sometimes it's a map room, and sometimes it's a pilot/navigation room.

That's apparently NOT the Prometheus but rather her landing/"drop" ship.

Certainly it must be the landing drop ship @Spartacus. And of course I know that under the chair is the egg chamber. That was a retorical question to start the debate, haha! Mmm... a control room? Really, when you see the trailer, tha chart-map room and this one look very similar (maybe identical). Whatever it is, I found very intriguing that it is exactly over the future-present egg chamber... and connected to it!

Hi @Frantz: Yes the road doesn't look ancient at all, and I think that could have been made by Prometheus' crew, but when I see it, I had the feeling of some kind of temporary or provisional construction made before, like on building or so. Hahaha, maybe I'm just looking for everything in anything with this trailer!!!

Your assuming that this is the same ship that was crashed in LV-426 in ALIEN. I personally don't think it is.

Yes, I think I am. Don't you think that this ship is the same? Is another ship crashing in another planet? Well, it could be, but this made the space-jockeys the worst pilots in all galaxy!

I don't think it's crashing on LV-426, and it can't be the same ship if it's not on LV-426. Another possibility is that this is actually a franchise reboot with an alternate timeline like they did in the new Trek film.

I'm with you in a way @Jeffomorph: I don't think the entire movie is located on what we call LV-426, but I think tha crashing scene we see in the trailer it is. What if they go anywhere to find the beginning of our race, they find the temple and the ampules and, in their return to earth they are intercepted by the alien ship and they crash with it? That could explain the explosion we see in the trailer and the rests of another ship that falls to the surface. And I don't think in a reboot in the way of J.J.Abrahams' Star Trek, but maybe in some way: connecting this to ALIEN, but not with the rest of the franchise

I think there is something deeper and darker to the story than the derelict ship being the bomber stork to bring eggs to earth. It wouldn't be an effective planet killer - humans are too advanced and would kill them. We could kill Xenomorphs now and we don't have the future tech in the movie. flu and malaria are better killers. If that ship is meant for earth something worse than Xeno was intended assuming a sinister reason.
