This film with DOMINATE the sci-fi/horror genre for the next 15-20 years, with pure intesnity which the soundtrack and acting will provide. This is not a "shoot-em-up" film. This film will introduce a new AUDIENCES too the word "fear". This film will totaly surprise ONES who think they KNOW "alien" .. think u know XENO'S think again! Sir Ridley Scott has "scoofed" at the other alien films calling them more or less FODDER. Think u know " SPACE JOCKEY" think again.....! Think U know face HUGGERS? think again !.... lots of rumours about a possible rape/inpregation scene. Judging from teh trailer i herd these words " pleze god no" commong froma woman's voice .... If there is such a scene it will be intense and well acted. Think u know GOD.. think again!

Let's hope it measures up to your assumptions then. But I personally don't know 'GOD'...as I'm an aethiest who merely reckons the universe (or multi-verse?) expanding around us is simply the result of some unknown, non-'supernatural', purely natural process... However, I'm definately looking forward to the speculative notion of an even older 'evolved' species to us, possibly being our actual progenetors. Others may wish to believe that this 'superior' species to us were themselves originally brought about by an all-powerful 'creator' of 'everything' though...so everyone can still be happy I guess. It'll hopefully be a half-decent movie either way.

i've read a few articles online that this time around, Ridley Scott says the alien entities in this new film are "more sexual in nature, and much darker than before" given that particular revelation from Scott himself, and if there is in fact "rape" in this film, i hope Scott truly pushes the envelope, and keeps in line with the "male rape" that O'Bannon referred to in ALIEN (1979) as odd and insensitive as this sounds, the sight / sounds of a female being sexually violated on film is not as uncomfortable to the majority of folks as it would be if a male were to be forced into the same "rape" scenario, or a male giving birth as well i read one possible "leaked" script for PROMETHEUS in which the character Holloway was taken alone, and "subjected to horrifying tests by the Engineers", the first thing that came to my mind was some kind of forced sexual "tests" in the hopes of reproduction can't say for certain, since the script i read was not official, so whether or not the victims in this new film are male or female in regards to the concept that Scott eluded to in his own mysterious way in any case, it will surely be something IF Scott continues on O'Bannon's desire to target the male movie going audience, and make them as uncomfortable as possible the way ALIEN did back in 1979 time will tell.....
