RAPE SCENE?

I have to agree with Spartacus on this. I think there is plenty of evidence most of the posters here want to see some sort of violence in this film. Clearly you can find support in the thread where everyone is hoping for an R rating. Now you all seem appalled by a person who describes what violence they wants to see? Seems a bit hypocritical to me. Please explain what makes your favorite brand of fictional violence more palatable than USHBUCK's. Do you enjoy it when aliens ram their 2nd mouth into someones flesh but draw the line at an unwanted touch of someones breast? Do you like it when the alien cocoons men, women and children just to be the victims of oral rape by a mobile penis but fret when a character doesn't take no for an answer on a date ? Would you get up and walk out if Holloway forces Shaw to do something she doesn't want to do but can't get enough of Kane being torn apart from the inside out? At least he sounds like he is able to differentiate fiction from reality something I think a lot of people here have a hard time doing.

I've always thought, Giger has to be a bit weird or sick to paint such things but at the same time it takes Guts and super duper Intelligence not just to let your raw thoughts come out like that but to actually be able to do it at all, so I have always wondered what he would want me to understand about him for having painted his paintings, does he want me to feel provoked or intimidated or scared or sexually excited or what? was he just painting the first nightmare he had that he could remember? And how do you even do that?

The first alien film already has a rape scene.

Clearly the Alien movie and associated art has sexual overtones. A rape scene will not ruin the movie if is used as a way to explain the life cycle of this biomechanical whatever, or as a way to illustrate how unimportant humans are to our creators. These themes have bearing on the whole concept. However, hoping to see someone getting raped, and or enjoying it in any way says something about YOU specifically. Period. Nothing to discuss. Such thoughts are at best sociopathic. Geiger might get off on such thoughts. I don't know. Geiger may fear being raped, or be influenced by some horrible life experience. His art is disturbing, which is why it was used to create something scary. Geiger might be a little "off". It's not my place to judge but he's probably not posting his love of rape scenes on the Internet. I believe Ridley Scott was scared by it. I hope he was disturbed by it. He wanted to disturb other people with it. If he honestly gets off on rape, and is simply using the alien life cycle to express it, he should seek help. Again my guess is, he's terrified of it. I have my own fears. I have weird dreams and thoughts that I'd proabaly never share because they terrify and disturb me. Scott chose to make a story about a scary concept of his inner psyche. That's what I'll hope for, and I'll hope that rape in this movie is implied more than graphic. Either way I won't enjoy it.

Or on the other hand you could check out Antichrist. The image of Necronomicon number four that a member posted is the original creatures tail not it penis as i have in a Giger interview on the alien boxset... he discusses how they changed the idea of creating the alien with Ridley and how Ridley was inspired by this picture shown to him originally by Dan O Bannon and he states we decided not to go for the sunglasses/ eyes look because it would appear more threatening if you couldn't see the eyes, and we changed the tail for a more conventional look or words to that effect. Personally i think we shall see the engineers performing the perverse treatment on the crew and i think it will be a case of genetic experiments rather than brutal rape... sort of like a I.V. F ... In Vitro Fertilisation for interglactic species lol.

Then again on review it could well be its penis its hard to tell.
