Still dont know what that is, but indeed it looks like an ufo and not a space rupture like in Halo where space vessels can travel With slipspace technology. Guess we need to wait for a trailer that shows more if it or some new images being leaked within the next months.

yeah... Engineers = big blue guys. Engineers stay on board do their tests and stuff, Space Jockeys = pilots. space Jockeys fly the Derelict, maybe detaching the disc for observations. Could be, could be... scale wise it could work, depends on the detail. would need a close up pic of the saucer from the trailer.

Wait.. how tall are they again? And they're blue? So Jim Cameron (director of [i]Aliens[/i]!) has already shown them to us, in [i]Avatar[/i]. I see now... it's all connected. The Na'Vi develop into a highly technological race, with Jake Sully's help, and they and develop genetic engineering to create the aliens to destroy the humans! It all makes sense now! The elephant skulls are clearly just a throwback to their tribal warrior society, used to frighten the enemy.

I'm fascinated by the saucer/waterfall scene. It doesn't appear to have any resemblance to the jockey ship/derelict. It's more like the traditional UFO shape from what we can see. I don't think it has anything to do with the space jockey ship.

I agree that it is some sort of wormhole or stargate. Yes, I did use the term " Stargate".

Funny you should mention stargate, when I saw in the trailer the derelict ship sitting on the ground with it's "forks" pointed at the sky, that's the first thing I thought - this "ship" might actually be a stargate the SJ's set up on a planet and use to fly thru and navigate the universe.
