Are the xeno even able to walk walls?

The Aliens crawl on ceilings in both Aliens and Alien 3. Ridley Scott did want something similar in Alien but was unable to successfully execute the idea with the Alien suit they had. The Alien probably uses its claws to grip surfaces.

yeah i remember them running on aliens/alien 3 but in the latter the facehugger attached itself to a dog, maybe it could grip ceilings better

Funny that you write that GreatBoosUp because I wanted to make it in Promotheus discussion in the first time but then realised that there was an "Alien Discussion" section. On all the AvP games that I've played and some AvP movies, etc. All the aliens are able to walk/run on ceilings and walls, so I was wondering if they "stick" to them of if they grab stuff instead.

Could have spiky appendages...like cockroaches!
