MemberOvomorph02/7/2012We can see that the huge humanoid head appears to be damaged, or at least weathered / old, and we've seen scenes which depict rubble, a (seemingly) dead SJ. And the crashing derelicts in the trailer.
What does this mean? War on the SJ home world? Is the species dying out, at war with each other or have the xenomorphs infected them? Are they diseased? Has the Prometheus and it's crew caused the apparent ruin, or were the SJs in trouble before they arrived?

MemberOvomorph02/7/2012I think your reading a little too much into it all....I feel as though the giant monolithic head has just been there for eons, thus the weathered look....and I get the sense that whatever the crew find on this planet, they're waking it up from a long deep slumber, so to speak....that's more what this feels like to me.

MemberOvomorph02/8/2012What about the massive claw/scratch type marks above the monoliths eye(s)?? That looks more than weathered effects.

F--- it - lets go for it!
MemberOvomorph02/8/2012i see attacks on the crew by fellow crew members, vickers killing crew, s j's and xenos...
epic scenes of the dawn of man. DNA tampering with jaw dropping consequences.
a true cinematic experience!

MemberOvomorph02/8/2012the xeno ancestory is suggested to be much bigger so maybe it is a battle scar on the giant head.....
