Lol wow. Maybe a scene leading up it and then changing. Therefore u know wat went on. But actually showing it is disturbing. whats more disturbing is the creepies wanting rape scenes, and whats even MORE disturbing is hopeing for a certin amount of time for show. The movies "I Spit On Your Grave" and "Last House On The Left" i have to admit ive seen, not knowing about the rape scenes. actually Giger and Scott want them in there, have always wanted them in there, and will more than likely "insert" one in this film. However, Cain1977 makes a very valid point...I think what he missed is noone is saying that they want one, just that someone here suggests that having one would effect any film and it's rating.

...ok so rape is a very sensitive subject....but it's real and u read and hear about it all the time.....it won't be the first time it is shown in a movie....it can change the plot quite significantly...look at a movie like Monster for instance....without the brutal rape scene in the beginning...it would not have been the same movie....it almost gave the character a reason to go out and become a heartless serial killer....made it almost justifiable...almost! So what I am saying is...if it plays a detrimental part to the plot...then it should be included....but if it's purely their for shock value....then i don't think it's necessary.

I agree...Sometimes what we don't see affects us more...all we do is have to see a glimpse or hear it and that will let us know, something is going on...something bad...you do not need to show the scene to say that it happened...

However, if the scene ends like that of "Species" but she gives birth to a"Dude/aka Will Ferell" from SNL skit...I'll be strangely happy with it...
