MemberTrilobite02/22/2012I have some screenplay ideas for you hardcore fans to mull over...
As some of you are aware I wrote my version of a possible Alien V here on these forums a while back. Which, once completed, I turned into a screenplay. Realising how easy it is to write a screenplay (from my point of view anyways) I have decided to put pen to paper (or more exact fingers to keyboard) and am currently assembling a punch of screenplays of sequels to our most loved franchises. The working titles of each of these are:
Alien V - When I actually wrote this a while back on these forums I was making it up on the spot, yet despite that most of you that took the time to read it said that you really enjoyed it. The thread can be found HERE, although I have since thought that maybe the ideas could be expanded upon.
Predators 2/Predator 4 - Set in present day Africa. Details to follow.
Alien Versus Predator 3 - Set either in 1904 or 2104.
Terminator V - Set in 2027 and 2029. Details to follow.
So I have opened this thread to discuss my ideas and see what ideas people may or may not like to see in such sequels.

MemberOvomorph02/22/2012Thanks, I really enjoyed reading this. I found it extremely engaging and could visualize the world you created extremely well and really liked how the characters were portrayed. Interested in seeing what else you can come up with.
Thanks again

MemberTrilobiteFeb-24-2012 11:38 AMOkay I'm working on the premise, the synopsis of AVP3, here it is in very, very basic form...
Set in 1904 a team of Russian and American scientists "rent" Razorback Point whaling station during the off-season for whaling. The Predator vessel from AVP and AVPR shows up, the Queen inside the pyramid is awoken, eggs are laid and the elder Predator kills one of the humans leaving a blood trail to the whaling station. Once 7 aliens have been sired the Predators block access to the pyramid and put the Queen back in the freezer, forcing one of the Drones to become a warrior to lead the pack and also forcing the Aliens to turn one of the humans into an egg, incubating a royal Facehugger.
The Predator rite of passage then begins with 3 teenage Predators. Within 5 minutes one is killed by the Warrior. The other two salvage parts of his gear before dissolving him...
I am working on what happens next, but I know the final showdown will be between the Warrior Alien and lone surviving Predator, whom will win but will be revealed to be Wolf from AVPR (getting his burn scar from the Warrior).

As for The Alien V predator stuff I am very excited to see what you come up with, from the outline it all looks/sounds/reads as terriffic! Can;t wait to be reading you again.

MemberTrilobiteFeb-24-2012 11:52 AMBizarrely enough Sparky Terminator V pretty much writes itself in regards of events that need to occur, especially when the "timelines" logic is turned on its head...
or to put it another way, what if the future hasn't changed and what if what has happened had already happened in the future shown in the Terminator, I have actually managed to make that element work.

MemberOvomorphFeb-24-2012 11:59 AMyup, that's right, and pretty much what I meant...I also thought on a very closer 2nd viewing though and on a much better copy of terminator 4 that this film was way better than people gave it credit for...at the same time, I am tired of it's storyline and think it has been exhausted already, but if anyone can make it fine on paper, it's you bro.

MemberTrilobiteFeb-24-2012 12:03 PMThanks man...
Try this to bake your noodle... what if August 29th 1997 was a lie told to Sarah and John Connor to maintain the timeline, because July 24th was, is and always has been the date of Judgment Day.

MemberTrilobiteMar-01-2012 5:29 AMOkay heres some news on the Alien V rewrite of what I originally did within these forums (link is in OP)...
After re-evaluating the 4 Alien films I noticed another theme running through each film - Threat. By "threat" I do not mean to the characters, or the scary element of the film but the threat of the Alien getting to Earth. Let me elaborate...
Alien - 1 Alien on a ship heading back to, but a long way from, Earth. Threat level 1.
Aliens - A whole colony of Aliens with 2 attempts to stow specimens on board the Sulaco (2 Facehuggers in the colonies medical bay and a Queen in the Sulaco's hangar). Threat level 2.
Alien 3 - A W-Y R&D vessel en-route to acquire the Queen specimen gestating within Ripley's chest. Threat level 3.
Alien Rez - USM Auriga en-route back to Earth, infested with a whole colony of Aliens. Threat level 4.
So for a threat level 5, there is really only one possibility; Earth...
The USM seal off an vast area on Earth inhabited by deadbeats, criminals and the poor and unleash the Alien upon them, studying the results. Also gives us the atypical Alien(s) on the hunt element of the previous films.
Also, being on Earth Ripley 8 could look into her past on Earth giving us insight of the making of Ripley. While at the same time showing Earth to be the hellhole it has become since the fall of Weyland-Yutani.

MemberOvomorphMar-11-2012 11:34 AMi enjoyed reading your ideas for potential continuations and for what it is worth here is my 2 cents worth
Predator(s) 4 - i like the idea of it being set in Africa it'd be a fresh landscape to hunt in with also the possibility of seeing the pred(s) hunt something non humanoid with pretty much it's bare hands or at least a combi stick (imagine a fight against a bull elephant) it's not necessary but would either make for a cool deleted scene or an excuse for a pred to hunt down some hunters who hear the elephant being mauled before running with their tails between their legs to get picked off one by one as they try escaping or getting back up
AvP 3 - nice prequel story building on the "legend" of wolf and why he is so important plus expanding on the whale station incident tying the movies closer than just simply having Chet in both of them, and if i read that right turning a human into an egg could potentially validate a 4th AvP set on earth or even be used as a catalyst for another sequel to the alien series (if it means accepting AvP into the collective universe) which could be what you call the next threat level - 6 they were here for years underground breeding or something and is just one big powder keg waiting to go off
Terminator V - having the ending as one huge "FU we were just making sure it happened on this day" by John Connor as a measure to make sure he'd be at optimal strength (which brings in the point of did all these events happen to future Connor so he is keeping the timeline right or is he rewriting history?

Was Skynet orchestrating the whole thing including leaving a window throwing Kyle Reese into the past in an attempt to put John where it wants him to be plus to ensure it's creation at the right moment, that would more plausible in the sense that if skynet sent a terminator back in time to kill John and Sarah (in the second) it would have succeeded because future john wouldn't have happened the first time so no metallic guardian to save him at the mall and in the causeway. and if even by dumb luck that Sarah's training did make it so he would have survived/escaped she would have died in the second movie, john would be held accountable for the gruesome deaths of his foster parents meaning the police and the T-1000 would continue to hunt john making him into the "perfect" soldier of the resistance. which would mean that the main focus would be the reprogrammed terminators were never sent back in time by john to save himself but it has always been about skynet saving the women in johns life in an attempt to make him softer or weaker before the series curve balls back in time to form the "infinite" loop that the series is destined to take with the possible outcome that skynet had the T-1000 replace John for a short enough time to take kyle reese to the time travel station to ensure everything happened as it should

MemberOvomorphMar-14-2012 4:29 PMI have an idea floating around my head for ALIENV.
It's 20 years after Alien Rez. If "Earth is a bleep-hole" then I imagine it to be post-apocolyptic. In Old Paris, a half-million or so people have congregated to live as a confederate society. The Auriga' s crash in Africa has created myths that have divided the public. Some people say the ship brought alien life to earth and they've made Ripley a saint-like figure. Others say there's no chance, that human life is the only life there is (since most of the galaxy has been explored by now) and that Ripley is a heretic (citing the criminals of the Betty's crew to discredit her). The candidates for the next confederate election are campaigning, and each candidate represents one side of the mythology. It's a heated debate, each candidate attacks the next one, tries to spread fear amongst the population for their own gain.
In case you haven't noticed, I've tried to draw comparisons between the candidates and the present day with the Republicans and Democrats of America. The xenomorphs represent any dividing issue: abortion, gay marriage, global warming, etc...
We're introduced to this society, the candidates and the mythology during the first half of the film. It's until the half-way mark that we find out...
Some alien DNA was found at the Auriga crash site, sealed in a black-box type device that survived the crash. It has been studied for years and aliens have been raised, although kept secret from society. When word of the facility gets out, animal rights activists ambush the research facility and set the xenos on the loose.
Society turns to Ripley one last time, begging her to save humanity...but Ripley doesn't care much for humanity anymore, especially after all she's been through in the past movies. And many of the people in this society have shunned her for years. So why should she care?
It's only until Ripley sees a girl running through streets taken by mass hysteria, dragging a doll behind her, that she decides to take action.
