MemberOvomorphFebruary 25, 20122034 Views31 RepliesI met Mr Scott a few weeks back and asked about the film and it's set up, is it a prequel ect. I'm afraid that he was not very helpful but was very pleasant. When I asked if the planet in thr trailer was LV-426, he just smiled and said all would be expained in the first few minutes of the film. Sorry guys, I did try.

Wait a minute. I think the obvious question is being missed here... How the heck did you just happen to meet Ridley Scott?!?!?!?!?!? World-famous movie directors aren't the type of people you just bump into while standing on line at the local grocery store!

FrantzFebruary 25, 2012
why not ? I mean The snark can lie but even famous people leave home sometimes ... and yes they have to go to the local grocery store from time to time ... i had a little shop in a touristic village in italy and i had some famous people coming to buy a screw or some paint .

"Is it dead this time?" "I dunno, poke it with this stick and see."

This should be quite an opening. It is the second post I've read when Ridley comments on the first few minutes of Prometheus. According to various posts, the first few minutes of the opening montage will actually be the climax, and then we're walked through the events that lead up to that moment.

I read somewhere that first few minutes will be the starting of world sequence.

I met him at the airport on his return from somewhere or other. This was in early Jan this year. He was very chatty and pleasant but would say too much. I kicked myself later cause I should have asked about the new Blade Runner movie. Oh well, maybe next time :-)

Snark,
That would be awesome to meet Ridley and to have a little bit of a chat with him.
Regards,
Rick

I know. I was on a high for about a week after. Still am really. I just spotted him lining up with everyone else. Couldn't believe it. Drove my wife nuts when I got home. She couldn't understand what the fuss was all about. She not much of a movie fan though.

It sounds like the first and last 10 minutes of the movie are going to be great.

Now believe it or not i met ridley when my uncle was working on the original alien, it was very brief but me and my sister were taken to the model shop at bray studio where my uncle was working as an assistant dp for the nostromo model shots we had little passes and had a look around the set at bray. I was 12 years old. my sister was 14.

Thanks for that Nephilim i had not seen that before . Yeah it was a great experience for me and my sis we still talk about it almost every xmas when the family get together although at the time i was a keen model maker myself i used to have the whole collection of The Aurora Monster Model Kits well most of them i recall and i was blown away by my visit to bray.
