Your Favorite Monster/s

Besides the original '79 Alien, I think the Kothoga from the movie The Relic was a really cool design.

Bruce from Jaws... nothin' as scary as the real thing.

@ Charlie - I agree, the Kothoga was pretty cool. At first I was disappointed in it - before I had seen the movie I had already formed a picture of the beast in my head from the description in the book and in the movie it was totally different than what I'd imagined - I was pretty let down. Then later I saw a drawing or maybe it was a maquette of the creature as envisioned by the book writers. When I saw that I was pretty relieved they went with the one in the movie.

I like the creatures in District 9 and hope to see them soon! Shabou

I have a few The 1982 The Thing The Cronenberg Fly The Werewolf in American Werewolf in London The Pale Man from Pans Labyrinth Terminator T-800 and Hal 9000 ( Though not technically monsters) The grandaddy of them all the T-Rex from Jurassic Park

Don't forget the greasy little blob from Star Crystal. (Anybody who's seen that movie is probably laughing their ass off right now - or crying because I've just resurrected a thankfully forgotten memory)

My answer, the Crites or "critters" from the critters movies. Also, did you know that Leonardo di caprio had his film debut in the third critter film? He was a kid when he played in it.

@Xenokiller, yeah I did I watched all 5 Critters movies recently, @Shabou I hope they do a sequel to District 9, did you know it started as the Halo movie before that went downhill, they used the CGI technology they were going to implement on District 9? @Dormin I LOVE the original Thing movie, last years effort was OK but there were continuity errors that were just absolutely glaring to me, like the dog. And the ice cavern not being blown up by the Norweigans. All the other continuity effort went down the drain because of stuff like that IMHO. All of yours are definitely cool in my book. @jones, Tremors was awesome :-D There's a Host sequel in the works, and when Cloverfield was first being virally marketed I thought it was going to be a new Gojira movie. I really didn't like Matthew Broderick's wife as the monster from his version though..... :-P I'll pick up The Relic thias weekend and watch it, ashamed to say I haven't yet. And of course @db Bruce the Great White is definitely scary. I couldn't go to the beach for about a year after my dad thought it would be a good idea to show me that as an 8 year old. Twit he is, but I still love him :-)

Oh yeah I didn't mean to forget either @NCC1701that's a classic! If we could have a picture of your wife giving you "that look" it will make up for her not being a movie monster :-P or RickK I haven't seen that one either, so it goes on my weekend movie list :-)

@Cypher yep , soon maybe or maybe not i would be dead if i ever posted a picture of her on the site if she ever found out but then again, i do alot without her finding out , keeps me young at 49 thats not a bad idea of posting pictures of what all of "us part time geeks" look like ... this is my first form i have been on ,,,ever , alot of you people i can relate to, and its fun ,takes the stress of the work day away Later

@ncc1701 Hehehe, but what they don't know doesn't hurt them.... Or us, unless they find out ;-) Not a bad idea about putting pics up of ourselves either, I'm sure you could make it your Avatar icon (Is that the right terminology?) the little pictures next to our names if not :-P
