MemberOvomorphMar-07-2012 7:40 PMJust wondering if anyone thought about the time difference between the video posted on Weyland Industries site? The TED speech by Peter Weyland is supposed to take place in 2023. According to Wikipedia, the Prometheus will discover the alien civilization in 2085 and it's going to take only five years in suspended animation. I think I'm missing something as far as what happens during those 62 years. Any thoughts?

MemberOvomorphMar-07-2012 7:53 PMThe TED talk is just a bit to wet our appetites by giving us a picture of Weyland at that period in his career and where Weyland Corp. was at a time more relevant to us. It's a marketing thing Lindelof and Scott thought up, a brilliant and very cool one, but a marketing thing nonetheless.......and, for all we know, especially considering a lack Guy Pearce screen shots to this point, Weyland (Pearce) is a much older man in the film....
