MemberOvomorphMar-09-2012 8:07 AM91 days until I/We all, finally, see this long anticpated sure to be Masterful piece of cinematic glory. almost 19 Months ago now since I first heard about this perhaps happening...and a lot of us here have been waiting together and killing our time intellectually ina way that is enhancing the excitement and anticpation of it all...like I said before...now...more than ever...this FILM is not a film anymore...It's an EVENT ofsignificant importance...It's Science Fiction being taken seriously again...but in the interim, I am a neurotic mess...19 Months ago I made the Jockey in all it's Bone Bent Backward Glory my desktop at work and at home, and have learned along with mostly everyone else here about Ridley's anythings and everythings & even Parkers toilet humour at breakfast on board the Nostromo. I Feel Like the Hal9000 in 2001: a space odyssey. "My Mnd is going". 91 days cannot pass fast enough for me and admist the deliscious anticpation I need to say this out loud...
I "Gotsta" see this thing already. LMAO.

MemberOvomorphMar-10-2012 4:31 AMI know exactly what you mean. Sci-fi and horror are two genres that rarely get the proper treatment and here we have Ridley Scott giving us roughly two hours of pure wish fulfillment. I'm just hoping that we get a final cut that is true to Scott's vision and not altered to fit a PG-13 rating. The other movie I was obsessed with wince hearing about it was Guillermo del Torro's At the Mountains of Madness, but that got canned because the studio didn't want a big budget movie with an R rating.
Maybe if Prometheus is rated R and makes a bunch of money the movie studios wont be so afraid of grown-ups anymore.
