You all still believe that there will be an archaeological discovery on Earth?

Well, I know you know more about the 17th day Prometheus, but I wonder if You still believe in "the initial archaeological discovery that triggers the rest of the story of Prometheus." Another question, if there was archaeological discovery What did they find? [img]http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x368/bipolarestancia/fifthelement05bs6qw6.jpg[/img] Is it possible that the finding on Earth was part of the body of a Space Jockey dead? and does the DNA contains the coordinates of the planet of origin? and perhaps the DNA contains the coordinates for space travel. Now I'm thinking no.. the Weyland website has reference to the WOW signal.. which indicates to me... they got a signal... and went to it..

Shambhala, Lol.. ya, who wudda thought.. a signal in an Alien movie to get it rolling.. lol. I just assumed that the Weyland website shows earth.. and a blinking star that has a "signal".. But then again it would be interesting if we find artifacts on earth that tell us we have been terraformed.. lol... What do you think?

danrald Well, it may all happen in space, or has something to do with a signal. After all nothing is confirmed about an archaeological discovery, but it would be interesting to find some kind of urn in the desert. Another possibility are the roads that could be seen from space as the Nazca lines, but also there is a high probability that they are the work of Prometheus, as you said in a previous post. And my last speculation is that Weylan (or Yutani) knows something nobody else knows and hides. Therefore sends a lot of guinea pigs to certain death, and all this for an android back to Earth with the valuable discoveries, after all the crew is expendable.

Shambhala, Ahhhh.. the ole urn in the desert trick, with perhaps a little tiny sized star map? Well I'm not sold on the idea that Prometheus made those roads.. Like that other guy said on the thread... "Why do they need roads"? Conegillos, what are those.. gerbils or something.. space gerbils?

danrald LOL I've made a mistake with the conegillos, actually I meant guinea pigs, sorry about that. I wanted to refer to the crew of the Prometheus as guinea pigs, as Weyland (or yutani) knows something that the crew does not know of course. but this sounds much like the fake script. Furthermore, what of the archaeological discovery is somewhat obsolete, besides not being very original and there is no official confirmation of this. Maybe Prometheus fence in other directions.

Lets look at what we know: - Shaw, an *archaeologist* is the main character. - according to IMDB, her father and younger version are featured. does this not confirm that there is a groundbreaking archeological discovery on Earth? Something that motivates her (as the main) character? if not, why bring her along for the misson? Because of the WOW signal?

well if the space jockeys created us..that whole line in the trailer about somthing that has to do with our beginning...and all the mythology of titans, or anunnanki, or nephilm etcetc as our creators..i really do believe we are going to see some ancient evidence of the jockeys on earth that leads to contact and then the expedition

What if the archaeological artefact is in our DNA? Engineering humans down to the level of also engineering genetic relatedness to all other life on Earth seems a bit OCD. But who am I to question the methods and motives of The Engineer, Ridley Scott, SJs etc.

Either way I believe that the Ancient Astronaut theory will 100% fit in somehow to this film...so It is highly likely to me that YES some sort of archeological discovery on Earth leads the prometheus into Space. It is the nature of what exactly that is that has my mind in a spiral the last few weeks because it could be anything from the vials and cave we have already seen in the trailer{s} actually being on earth itself...to just some sort of ancient carving somewhere else on earth...could be just about anything at all...it's an x factor...unknown...and perplexing right about now.

Shambhala, Ok, Ok.. with all of the new events that have happened.. I totally forgot the Astronaut theory stuff.... there will be some sort of reference to some sort of desert ampule maybe with some hair moosse in it.. or something like that.. and that is how the big guy got bald.. he had a bad reaction to the hair moosse..

Well, now we know that an archaeological discovery leads to the Prometheus expedition, and what they find is NOT benevolent. Hard to tell whose side David is on. Bishop was fascinated by the Alien, but he still helped the crew survive and escape as best he could. The relief sculpture looks like an Alien queen to me.

Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!
