MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 4:39 PMHi guys,
Everyone has been talking about the xenomorph on the wall and the space jockey in the new trailer but surely any real fan would be more excited about the bloody chest buster which is quite obviously exploding out of someones chest in a cry tube......it seems to of exploded out or be surgically removed and is being held by a clamp in the air above the hosts head. There is a hell of a lot of blood on the caspule glass swell and you can clearly see the hole in the hosts stomach or chest when you move frame to frame...........I thought this would be the most exciting thing for fans in the trailer but no one has even mentioned it!!!

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 4:43 PMIt didn't explode from Shaw, it looks like it was surgically removed and is being taken away by the clamp above her head. And then we see her going through the hallway still bloody from the surgery. In fact the scene where she is in bed with someone is from that sequence.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 4:44 PMI do not see a chestburster nor do I see something being surgically removed. I see a person flailing around and a squid-looking thing being held above her head. If anything it looks more like a facehugger.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 4:57 PMif you go frame by frame, you will see it being surgically removed from her stomach / chest as you can see what seems to be a umbilical cord coming from the hole to the creature......also, if it was a face hugger then why the hell is there so much blood on the glass as face huggers don't cause injury to the host. If you look in slow mo, you will also see that the chest buster has a single tail but when sped up, the tail moves so quick that it appears to be multiple limbs.........im telling you guys......its a chest buster......just not as we know......i reckon we are going to see the xenomorphs in there most purest un-evolved state.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 5:01 PMAlso, the scene with Rapace crawling through the hallways, she has medical suture tape over an incision in her stomach (from a cesarean).
So it obvious that the creature is surgically removed.
(I have written this many times on this forum)

I've outlined the chest buster.

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 6:04 PMI personally think its neither a chest burster or a face hugger. My theory of the film's premise is that humans have been called to this planet in order to facilitate the experimental breeding and tests which lead to the development of the xenomorph; with the view to deploy them on Earth - and other planets as a weapon to destroy all life. Everything we've seen of the environment in Prometheus, although almost identical to those of the Jockey's ship in Alien (in it's future state) is less organic, more mechanical in appearance and judging by the many urns of organic matter and amorphous xeno-shrine like freezes is in preparation for this new weapon-race. I don't think there are any clues to suggest that the Jockeys are somehow man's creators but more the designers or 'engineers' of the xenomorphs, and because of this awful creation, their punishment is to be destroyed by the creatures they designed (having their chests torn apart by their products or having their livers pecked at by Eagles for all eternity, like Prometheus.)
I think the seeds were always sewn by the original Alien film that somehow the giant Space Jockey creature was in some way responsible for his own dimise and that his ship had changed over time after generations of Alien breeding.
Presumably, in Prometheus we will learn how this all happened and how the xenomorphs came to be. Remember, the ship was full of eggs by the time the Nostromo landed...they had to get there somehow....

MemberXenomorphMar-20-2012 7:12 PMTrisg,
LOL...What are you talking about? It has been discussed in depth Shaws Body in 1979 Alien! Its actually not a chestburster its a squid and it was being surgically removed from Shaw in the med bay. Bio put a lot of work into the Gif showing it being pulled out with umbilical cord still attached. As a moderator I ask that you please scan a few pages back we have A LOT of avid posters on here.
Regards,
Rick

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:12 PMWow Rick, "LOL...What are you talking about? ", could you be anymore condescending? Have you seen the movie in full yet? no. either have I, I'm just making a assumption based on what I've seen, the same as everyone else. Also, the link you gave me doesn't really go into depth at all. As mentioned before, I just think we are going to see the Xenomorphs in a completely new fashion and probably only recognise them a the end of the film at a push.
