[Shaw] To go where?
[David] Earth.
Let's break this down...
"They're" leaving - implying that more than one person is on the departing SJ ship - David and Weyland? No, because David is on the ship in the orrery holding a holograph of earth, so he'd know if the ship was going somewhere - I think all this hoo ha about members of the crew transforming into SJ's is misdirection... SJ's are probably on the ship from the get go. We know from the trailer that the laser tracers detect life before anyone is infected/transformed.
I also think the Orrery is a sat nav of some type... We see David holding the Earth hologram in his hands, and later the SJ seems to have a globe (admittedly not necessary Earth) on the control panel - Autopilot, while he goes into stasis?
I'm toying with the idea that there's two SJ ships - One get's stopped by Prometheus, the other manages to leave for LV to pick up the "cargo"... Instant sequel fodder.
Of course, it could all be very clever editing to misdirect us all. We could be so wrong.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 4:41 AM"David is on the ship in the orrery holding a holograph of earth" - you don't know that. It might me just the way the trailer is edited. You can't even take it granted, that answer to "To go where?" is really "Earth". Trailers often use editing to fabricate sentences and implications that are not in the film at all, to make it more dramatical than it is.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 4:41 AMWhat if the dialogue refers to the crew on the Prometheus and the conversation 'they're leaving' is between crew still on the planet. Perhaps it has nothing to do with the alien spacecraft

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 6:38 AMMassive pinch of salt needed I think. I've seen so many sci fi trailers where the speech is edited to make it sound completely different, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was the same here.

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 7:25 AMSurely Shaw is outside ...she is right on top of the hangar and probably just escaped the prometheus ship ... we can assume that later she is joined by Vickers ... the others ? On the Prometheus there are still Janek and the chinese guy ( they probably die in the crash ) ,,,the face of janek make me think is not a voluntary suicide ...

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:47 AMI've also considered the possibility that Prometheus doesn't crash into the SJ's ship, but the other way round... and that it's the SJ's stopping Prometheus getting back to earth (infected crew etc.)

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 8:50 AMI noticed Janek screaming "why is that door open????" in the pre-crash sequence of the trailer.
Uninvited guest in the cockpit?

MemberOvomorphMar-21-2012 9:21 AM...and most likely, Vickers running into what looks like a vertical bed, with her spacesuit on, is probably her escaping from the Prometheus, in an escape pod, before it rams the Derelict.
This has been shown in the recent trailers (the departure of a pod, while the crafts were in flight).

Whoa. That really made me think for a minute. Would be nice twist. I guess it depends on just how deliberately misleading the trailer turns out to be. I assumed the crew is talking about the derelict ship leaving.
