POSSIBLE SPOILER!!! The synthetics from the main Alien series were named (in order of appearance) Ash, Bishop and Call. The initials, of course, spell out A, B and C. We now know that there is a synthetic character featured in Prometheus as well and his name is David. So now we have A, B, C...and D? Coincidence? Homage? What do you guys think?

That's not really a spoiler, it's been mentioned quite a few times before. Besides chronologically it would be D-A-B-C and would make no sense plot wise, so if it's not a coincidence then it is most likely homage to the series like genjitsu17 says.
