March 21, 2012"Genetic maps are most accurately constructed by using
multipoint crosses. In humans, the case for multilocus
analysis is even stronger: gathering enough information to
map, for example, a disease-causing locus may require
pooling data from many families, each informative for a
different set of marker loci. Studying a dozen or more loci
simultaneously may thus often be desirable."
Yep - not that smart, just did the Google Gig for Genetic Mutation out of shiz and gigs, and came up with that quote.
Here's the site I pulled it from:

These theories on the board are amazing - hell, not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I gotta say - the posts are making me dig into what this flick could potentially be. Reading from niv.gov on the possibility of manipulating existing genes, and how problematic it is, leads me to believe that the movie is going to explore a hell of a lot more than seeing our beloved Xenos....or at least, those facehugs we've all come to know.
Quick take? Benevolent beings have gone from place to place with the intention of creating, only to have one of their creations come back and screw the entire gig by being so pridefull that - in equating their very being as equal (i.e. the "Prometheus" crew) - they strike back.
Anyone read the "Old Testament" at some point? Talk about some old school biblical wrath along the lines of what this flick is. Seriously - "Hey, you, kill your son, Cain - whack Abel, oh - and drunk dude, build an ark, grab a party of two each, and head for higher shores".
Just saying - it's the ultimate question that should best be asked when we dig in for a dirt nap. By this I mean - hey, don't go looking for an answer without understanding the question, be prepared for what you find, any maybe wait until it comes to you.
Too deep, man - just caught up in the mythos. Thanks for letting me run my suckhole.
