Again, this should put to rest any thoughts to this film, or any sequel, having any direct link to the Ripley films. It's stated very clearly--the stories don't link. Hope everyone can wrap their head around this.

...it's not a direct prequel to "Alien," because there will be a "Prometheus 2," and that movie will lead directly to "Alien."
