MemberOvomorphMar-25-2012 10:54 PMthis movie reminds me A LOT about mass effect. i know the alien movies inspired nearly every other sci-fi movie/game after it, so i guess in a sense i should say mass effect reminds me of prometheus!
anyway, i'm really excited for this movie. i love stories that deal with ancient alien civilizations and hidden galactic secrets. this movie can't come soon enough!
with that being said, are there any other movies out there that are similar to prometheus? (apart from the alien movies, which i've seen already).

MemberOvomorphMar-25-2012 11:28 PMI've thought about buying Mass Effect 3, but.....I've not played the first two, and it looks like you'd need to have played the first two in order to get some bonuses and what-not in the third. Not only that, but I've been way too wrapped up in Battlefield 3™.
I'm not doubting its epicness or good qualities. I've just got other priorities. :/

MemberFacehuggerMar-26-2012 12:30 AMI just got done playing Mass Effect 3. I love that series. I wholeheartedly recommend playing all of them. The Rachni sections borrow heavily from Alien and Cerberus IS Weyland-Yutani.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:56 AMI'm definitly a big Mass Effect fan. It does remind me a bit of Prometheus, from what we've seen of the movie so far at any rate. Really it seems like Mass Effect draws heavily from a lot of sci-fi movies and games: Star Trek and Star Wars, Aliens, Terminator, and a bit of Halo as well. As for Prometheus, I'm hoping it will give us something we haven't seen before.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 4:58 AMPLayed Mass Effect 2 but never played ME1. So in order to get ready for ME3 I'm starting at the beginning with the first game. I'm a busy guy so it will take me a good amount of time to finish.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 2:09 PMYou got a fan right here i love the trilogy but i got a bad mass effect 3 ending my girlfriend died and garrus too it was sad also retrying the campaign i am so happy for prometheus and i kept thinking about it when playing through the campaign haven't played the multiplayer yet though

MemberOvomorphMar-28-2012 12:57 PMI can't really count myself as a fan, because I only played the first part and not until the end, but I pretty much enjoyed it while playing. I hope I'll finish it one day.
