MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 10:51 AMI was thinking about the SJ from the original film, and finally seeing how large they really are in comparison to David in the map room, and the fact that it would've had to have been a very large facehugger that attacked (and atttached itself to) that SJ. Any thoughts on this?

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 11:11 AMThe wearer of the SJ suit may have been impregnated before they sat in the chair or put on on the suit. Whether that be by facehugger or other means such as how we think Shaw is impregnated.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 11:41 AM That question, my friends, is quite easily answered. "When a host is too large to be normally impregnated, the facehugger will then climb into the host's body (via the mouth.) and do it manually.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 12:26 PMWell I just saw an Alien Director's cut with my girlfriend.
After Dallas, Kane and Lambert inspect the SJ and the hole in his ribcage.
They discover the melted hole in the floor leading to the egg chamber.
The hole obviously created by the acid is very large. Far too large for facehugger as we know it.
So if the floor hole was made by a large facehugger form, it could be large enough for SJ
Of course it is puzzling what was first.
1. The Eggs, The Hole to eggchanberdone by large facehugger, and then The SJ impregnated and burst.
2. SJ burst, Xeno grown, Big hole to the eggchamber by large xeno, Eggs created.
And if You consider the blue laser layer above the eggs there is question what is the purpose of the laser layer, to contain the eggs?

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 12:31 PMWhat is even more scary:
The standard facehugger is made for human obviously.
It fits human head perfectly.
It's immediatelly able to sustain human life and supply oxygen.
It's able to perfectly stun Kane without killing him.
It has tail to fit the neck.
It's not made for SJ.
The SJ has no neck ;-)
SJ is expected to be much more resilient to stun.

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 12:52 PMThe real question here is what came first? The queen or the egg?

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 12:56 PMYou're presuming the facehugger made the hole to the egg chamber.
There is no queen in the Ridley Scott canon. The queen is a James Cameron concept.
All (if not most) should be revealed in about 73 days!

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 1:29 PMThe blue laser type mist keeping the eggs closed? or in a status of rest until disturbed. The SJ must have had an idea on containment otherwise this mist is just an effect?

MemberOvomorphMar-26-2012 3:52 PMAll right. What if...the hundreds, if not thousands, of eggs found by Kane were former beings, not humans per se, but other space travelers. In Alien, Brett and Dallas are both 'changing' before Ripley puts them out of there misery. Maybe the SJ's have been leaving these 'invitations' on hundreds of worlds. Maybe they need 'volunteers' for their bioweapons division.

MemberOvomorphMar-27-2012 3:37 AMThat could have been a large incubator the SJ's made, hence the laser could be a climate control device
