Isnt there also a Ron Cobb or Chris Foss Skull cave entrance from the Alien concept art floating around somewhere? I know i have seen it lately. Amazing how much of prometheus seems to be loosely based on designed from the original alien. It's kinda awesome. too bad there isnt more Moebius style designs involved.

@ Kronik, yeah I saw that too, that the shape of the temple seems to be based by Giger's concept for Dune.

I've been looking for a while now, there is a very similar design from the original Alien of the entrance to the pyramid shaped like a skull. It look kinda like the key in goonies and is done by either ron cobb or chris foss. I wish I could find it. With how many of the other designs look influenced by these 2, I thought it might be easier. Someone at avpgalaxy had posted it a while ago but man I am striking out.

I can't be bothered to upload an image, but.. - the person nearest the ship in the image, standing on the ramp - look up, and to the left of their helmet and you can see a skull/SJ shape in the hillside Now I don't know if there's any meaning to it, but what hey!
