Title a hint at storyline?

Not sure about master code but I read in the sypnopsis it was something we had already seen being used in earlier movies - Terraforming. Its kind of similar if you think of the TED talk where Weyland talks about fire as being our first tech, imagine how powerful terraforming would make Weyland?, just an idea.

@ Hansumsam If Scott did make the Gods out to be as you say, he would probably be accused of ripping off 2001 or Solaris. You are absolutely right, of course. At least in my opinion. But Scott is already borrowing heavily from Kubrick and Tarkovsky so I doubt the Gods/engineers will be quite as advanced as those Monolith making non-folks.

It's definitely not terraforming because according to the Weyland Corporate timeline at weylandindustries.com, Weyland Industries had all ready been terraforming for years before project prometheus launched. I believe it has something more to do with DNA, and evolution. Obviously, from what we see in the trailers, there is some kind of organic matter that changes people. Perhaps it causes some kind of advanced evolution that us humans aren't ready to have yet.

I think the fire is another form of nanobiological material related to what's in the ampules: a weaponized form of the fire the engineers inherited from another species... Like fire it can be used in many ways. Zeus was mad that some of the humans were making war with the fire Prometheus gave them, and so he punished Prometheus and the humans in some forms of the myth, causing a flood and a worldwide cataclysm. Now the engineers have devolved to doing the same thing. I think the fire is something that speeds up evolution on planets, and can cause microbial life to rapidly become more and more complicated until lifeforms emerge on the planets the Jockey's terraformed. However, the humans don't realize this is not a pure form of the fire Weyland's seeking. The engineers have weaponized it. They've been using fire to make war. Prometheus just want humans to advance with it. Weyland wants to be a god. I think he wants the power to create life on the planets he terraforms. Or, to at least speed up the development of certain elements and microbial life already present there. Faster than light evolution. He thinks it has applications for medicine, but unfortunately some of what they find is not a pure form of the fire.
