lets make a little list of what we can give for sure . ( --SPOILERS -- ) 1) the crew is made of ten + Peter Weyland and maybe some mercenaries ( we dont know if they are on a second ship ) . After the Empire article we can give for almost sure that a very old Peter Weyland is aboard . 2) Prometheus is an Alien prequel but telling a different story , At the the end it set all the pieces to allow Alien to be ( and that make a prequel of it ). Its very probably that the story leave some open ends to allow a sequel that will differ from Alien . 3) we will see the LV426 . We dont know yet if they will be on it for main part of the movie . 4) The Space Jockey are humanoids . They started life on earth . 5) We see the Derelict ship ...one or more ... one raise from an area near the temple with destination earth . We see the Prometheus crashing into a Derelict ship 6) David is an android . We dont know if there is another one . 7) surely infected people Halloway and Shaw ...Fifield very probable .

8) The "momument" head in the ampule room is a direct representation of the head of the SJ...... ie : the blue/grey guy!

...I'll betcha that Vickers/C. Theron's character is an android as well. Last year at one of the conventions sir Scott, when asked about androids in this movie, said, "Well, there may be two..."...

If I can offer two cents to the discussion; I'm willing to put my money on Fifield being the first to be infected: you can see part of his name on his head in the international trailer - the guy whose helmet is 'smoking', and the guy with something writhing under his skin. You can also see his mohawk. You can see Shaw and Theron's character running from the derelict ship as it crashes, so I would bet they are the last characters to be killed off.

I just read some information on IMDB.com regarding some of the content of the film. Here it goes: A woman is shown suffering from injuries due being expose to an unknown pathogen. She dies in a matter of minutes. From that, I strongly believe that Shaw is the individual they are referring to....

Possibly, but the way things are shaping up, who knows who will survive? Again, it's mere speculation and just my humble opinion.

If it is done right, and we have a group of characters who we all can care about, it would be so fucking great to build up Shaw as the hero and then kill her off midway through. I know it's been done before, but so many people are just so sure Shaw is the new protagonist. I know I am just dreaming; Rapace herself has made it clear she is one of if not the only survivors.

Is it really fact that the bald humanoids are the SJs? I"m thinking there are two different races in conflict here. The human looking Gods and the less human looking Engineers/Space Jockies.

Gotta disagree with #4. It is implied the SJs "helped along" some form of humanity or civilization. Nothing shows the beginning of life. To imply the waterfall scene is the beginning of life is to make the claim that humans were here before anything else. That's a bit much... Credit where it's due though, you've correctly shown just how little we know for sure about this film. With all the speculation, it's easy to forget that fact as well.
