No i bought him on a spur of the moment because my friend was throwing out all his cat paraphernalia -and i decided to buy a cat, when i got to the sellers house they were all boys and all ginger so i picked one and it struck me how much he looked like jonesy in alien he was only 8 weeks old when i got him he's 5 now

my cat ( 21 years old) used to walk and sleep on my face in bed. Not to mention correcting me typing on my keyboard.. @russians very interesting how they altered the P fotos for the comparison ;) but I think every Sci-Fi could be connected to each other stylewise..[i]Solaris[/i] ( ´72) maybe.

I always thought of those suits in Prometheus as a throwback to pulp sci-fi 50s comics look. I'm going to check out some of those Russian films on the 'net now particularly the 'Planeta Bur' one - the similarities in suits and hardware are indeed striking. It may be pssoble that this retro look will be juxtaposed with extreme horror and terror to create a perverse feel to the film. Thanks for that, alteredstate.

Nice link ... I got that movie (Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet) ... along with a ton of old classic sci-fi ... love em all ... even the crap ones :) ... I'm a sucker for a B Movie ... Ridley is one of those directors who likes to add a lot of currently used technology in his scifi movies ... he does a lot of research to see if this is possible now or very possible in the very near future ... he is a 'NOW' man more than a scifi man ... I think he's gonna use a lot of this NEW science stuff in Prometheus ... I like that kind of SciFi (but SciFi fact, if you like) ... he bases this on the notion that we would already be up in the stars, if Kennedys space program took offf when it was supposed to ... that's his ision for the future ... we're already there ...
