I wonder if Mother will be online in Prometheus?

No way to be sure. All I know is who is listed in the cast of the movie and that in the future there will be more people on the internet than there are people in the world.

maybe an uncle or aunt in this? or maybe rival brother and sister? perhaps the neighbor next door that is annoying?

Shaw seems to be talking to "Prometheus" instead of Janek in the previews, so there is probably some sort of A.I. on the ship going on there. David (android), is proof that there is full A.I. capacity by then, so it may not be Mother specifically, but it is an A.I. . One interesting question regarding A.I. that relates to conscience, is about what difference would there be with an A.I. applied to a ship for example like Mother or HAL (2001 S.O.), versus a humanoid or android like David or CP-3O for example. Will this difference affect how it behaves? How does it understand itself in case there is a conscience there?

Has to be. But the hardcore fans of Alien will berate Scott for using hitect LED LIGHTS instead of the old school appliance light bulbs.

I can accept the "Leds vs industrial" for the simple nfact that in Alien, the nostromo was a commercial hauler hauling and processing industrial ore, and was old at the time of Alien. To this day you can go in a factory, and even the newest factory tools will have a very plain, industrial look as it designed for low maintenance and the idea of KISS. While the Prometheus is a billion (Trillion?) dollar high tech ship. kinda like a industrial barge and tugboat vs what Woods hole would produce if you gave them a billion dollars and said "make it so".
