He's so much like Peter O'Toole as Lawrence of Arabia. Not just his hair, but the way he speaks. A movie about David alone would be fascinating to watch in itself.

"distressing, or unethical." Nice forboding If the rest of the cast is in the league of Fassbender's level of acting for this, it will be a masterpiece. He looks like the love child of David Bowie and Tilda Swinton.

YEs of course its not only regarding the aspect ....they symbolized a sort of middle europe coldness ..very german , rappresenting a nation that was reborn without having anymore a background ( a bit like david ) . Formal suits , cold architecture , efficient work , people on the society frames merging togheter , new electronic sounds ( a bit from the early ultravox too ) The Kraftwerk were the Robots for excellence , the perfect business employee , but everything with a very deep romantic undertone ( "the model" song and video ) ...

very well said, thanks for getting back..."coolio"...Love that band and Know exactly what you mean about that/their image, or the one they were reflecting from German society, it was in a way iconic, still is I guess.

This is proof that Fassbender isn't just the "next hot thing". Ugh he's amazing. And I STILL haven't seen Shame. Shame on me. I hear it's very,...revealing...you know, of human nature and all that jazz. @ Biomechanic-you hit the nail on the head with Lawrence of Arabia!

@kellicotti I just saw shame the other day really enjoyed it! U have MarcoBot's recommendation lol Really impressed with Michael Fassbender he seems to be nailing his roles in just about everything he performs. Also he's gonna lead in Ridley Scott's next film the Councilor. RS has a great track record for casting in his films!

Sh!t ... that's cool as ... dunno what to think of his protocols though ... my instinct would be to not trust him one 'Bit' (get it?) ... :) ... But he's a good actor no doubt about that ...

FASSBENDER DAVID Quote - It's a very important thing for my character, David, because he's engineered by humans and for him he's like, "Well, somebody engineered you too so you're programmed too." and they're like, "We're not programmed. We've got free will." He's like, "Oh, really?"

I must say, I am so excited by this new clip! I got an eerie feeling about David, as I'm sure we all do! Fassbender has set us up with a total untrustworthy character here, I mean David is totally on the fine line of sanity and insanity, very mental! Also, the clip leans heavily towards there being multiple David's on board as well? The chess scene?

personally speaking i don't think he will be the evil robot like ash was i feel he's more likely to be the hero or reluctant saviour of sorts a sacrificer much like bishops model only this time his actions are the saviour of all humanity that's my guess.

Pinnochio, a desire to learn and a fascination with all life like data, remember ash's model was specifically programmed by the company to be corrupted he was a conflicted machine like hal in 2001, this is the beginning of the saga the company i feel are just getting to know what they are dealing with no need for a synthetic to be corrupt at this stage .

If RS does enter the Blade Runner universe again, can only imagine how good that film might be. To think this is only one layer of Prometheus--awesome. I've often wondered about the possibility of a few Davids, one doing right and one doing wrong--definitely something there to say about the nature of free will.

Awesome, ty so much for posting. Fassbender is a really good actor. OH and as for "blending in" the David8 line can change appearance apparantly, their hair and mannerisms.

Bishop is Bae <3

Looking at the Weyland website, it looks like they have just over 8 million David8 models working in different divisions of their company. It is under Module 1.5 Android Deployment

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but is it just me or does that figure David is painting look a lot like Rick Deckard (speaking of BR)?

@kurt. I think you have an eagle's eye. Very much could be Deckard! It'd be a nice touch if it was!

@Freeze Him! I think you have a good idea about the multiple David thing. I have a feeling there aren't multiple ones but no one said there wasn't either. Multiple David's could totally ensure things went to plan. That's kind of a plot hole too. Why send so many humans when you are the one making the androids? Maybe one or two humans could go but I'd just send my robots.

@ Freeze Him! Thanks but I checked and I think Deckard's short coat was lighter in color and the hair might be a bit too long. Maybe though :)

They just played the entire video on ATTACK OF THE SHOW on G4TV. A side note... Apparently Fassbender is very well hung. Hahahahaha. His movie SHAME (about deviant sex addiction) was also reviewed during the DVD portion of the show and host Candice Bailey was going on about how she was not expecting so much frontal nudity in Shame... She literally said Fassbender's penis was really big... and it scared her a little!! Hahahahaha... LOLZ... Geez.. that bit made me bust a gut. FYI: AOTS posts videos of their entire shows the following day, so you will be able to check this out on G4TV tommorrow.
