Similarities???

Sorry if this been posted or discussed before.. It,s been suppossed to that in the Med Pod scene, Shaw discovers that she,s infected',impregnated?with "something" and decides to remove it from her inside.This scene is very similar to that scene in ALIEN 3, when Ripley feels wrong and goes to a similar medical device and with the help of Aaron discovers that she,s infected with the queen embryo..furthermore..At the beginning of ALIEN RESURRECTION, we find another "medical device" that removes the queen embryo from Ripley 8... Your thoughts?

Didn't the ALIEN script refer to the sickbay medical scanner as an "AUTODOC?" That suggests to me that it could perform the removal itself, without others knowing necessarily...except of course the ship's computer. They did say there would be a scene rivaling the chestburster at breakfast in ALIEN.

there is a definite similarity here, to both films when i first saw the images of the med-scan that were in the PROMETHEUS Comic-Con images, that reminded me of the images in Alien3, from the escape pods medical scanner perhaps this is Ridley's way of subtly cannibalizing bits and pieces of those inferior sequels to graft on a bit to this new film(?)
