Hey guys, remember star-gate?? I'm thinking about that thing that you guys call snake in Prometheus movie. In star-gate movie there is a snake to,and if you remember that snake is a symbiotic, i think in Prometheus the snake we see its like the same thing. Enter in body's and assume command of the same. What do you think guys? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goa%27uld

I don't they're going that route only because it's too obvious....I think they're going for more of a viceral, disturbing body horror type invasive nature to the worm or whatever it is.....I think Scott, Lindelof and Spaiths are savvy enough not to be that obvious....

I think what enters his suit is the "gray matter" from an urn in a solid snake-like form. Similar to the "black oil" from X-Files, although the oil beads it does coalesce into worm-like trails and squirm around. We'll know for sure in less than 50 days. Can't wait.

the interview with Arthur Max he mention that . (The art department looked at design work Giger had achieved for the first ALIEN film, in the form of archival files retrieved from the Motion Picture Academy Library and from the personal collections of those who’d worked on the first film. Ridley also screened some of the genre’s most definitive works. “He had accumulated a lot of research based on the original movie and the whole series,” remembers Max. “We watched all those movies. Ridley had us screen ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER, and a lot of movies with ‘STAR’ in the title. There’s three of them. I’ll let you figure out which ones!”) Thats why i remember Stargate.

Why the dislike for Stargate Amberclad? Ancient Alien theory movie from the early 90s, I love the movie and have been slowly watching the SG-1 series on netflix, I'm on season five I think. I made some posts awhile back, I think on the thread with a creature possibly popping out of the Space Jockeys head, about the Jockeys possibly being the creatures and taking hosts but I hope this is not the direction they took as any sci-fi fan, liking Star Gate or not, would recognize the similarity and it wouldn't be original. Like I said, I like Star Gate, but it's ideas about ancient aliens and stories need to stay in it's own universe.

Not sure if I should say this.. there will be another StarGate movie released in the near future (we're talking a few years) to handle all the stuff that the universe has to offer. If it goes forward as planned it ties into the original movie, SG-1, and Atlantis... just to let you know ;) It's been pushed way back, and it's almost certain that it's happening; but right now it's still in the very early stages here in Canada. Not joking. I'm involved with the next Star Gate movie, and there could be a chance that the budget will be somewhat larger than the movies based on the shows. Can't say much more than that right now. There was news about a year and a half ago about them considering a new Star Gate movie.

NO THANKS. 15 odd years of Magruber and friends was more than plenty. I for one will NEVER ever again support a "franchise" where its supposed fan base were such lowlifes that they actively campaigned to GET A SHOW cancelled !?!?!?! (SGU), and then whine when it comes to pass and they are all like.... "Oh Gee... So this mean no more Stargate then"!?!? Stargate UNIVERSE was the best thing to happen to that long dead skunk in years...and it was unbelieveable what whiny basement dwelling nerdlings did to it. Waaaaaahhhhh.... Waahhhhh.... We miss Macgruber and our splosions and pop-guns!... Waaaaaahhhhhhh.

SGU was awesome, it really, really sucks that it got cancelled. I'm a big fan of the first movie more so than SG-1 and Atlantis. As far as I know though, this new movie could either end up a straight to DVD, or get some more backing. They want to go back to connecting it to the three things I've mentioned. A younger version of an Atlantis character could be playing a somewhat central role with a mainly new team. I really shouldn't be saying this. Expect official news early 2013, after all the awesome movies of 2012-13 come to pass. This could be kind of telling: it's tentatively called SG-2, and takes a lot of elements from SG-1 and functions as a sequel to the original movie too. I'm letting my own fanboy excitement get the best of me, however it benefits the movie in the end when it does get made to start talking about it this early. I just wish the whole story has some sort of way of connecting to Star-Gate universe too (I've only read a synopsis and agreed to help consult on the film, I'm assuming I can say this because I did not sign an NDA and don't know the full story, just the premise at this point).

Well it looks like we think alike then MAL. I own the first movie and Im getting the 2 seasons of SGU.... But thats it. When SGU premiered I didnt even watch it, because it had STARGATE in its title, and I had thought... no way... I have had my fill of that. But when I finally got around to checking it out mid way through the first season I was surprised.. In a good way. I thought, FINALLY, a SERIOUS dark and gritty Stargate show for "grown ups" for lack of a better way to say it. I was dumbfounded by the backlash of people with respect to SGU. Geebus, they 15 years worth of boxsets of virtually the same gd plot every freaking week! Was that not enough SGI and Atlantis for them? Between SGU and CAPRICA (of course also cancelled), they were what I thought the only original programming left still worth watching on SPACE Channel. SGU was a hit on SPACE in Canada... I have no idea what was up with Syfy.. Siffy?? whatever. I wouldnt hold out any hope for this happening a few years down the line MAL.. by then Siffy will be a 24 hour Vampire & Ghost Channel with live Wrasseling.. seriously... The WWF or E or whatever... fake wrestling?? On the Sci-Fi.. I mean Siffy Channel?.. Oh wait..its already like that now. Oh well. PS: I would not speak about if I were you though. Might as well protect yourself. No point in stirring the pot.

I saw the movie in The theater and thought t was great; in never had HBO back when SG-1 came out, so I never got to watch it until it became available through Netflix streaming. I haven't moved forward on any of the spinoffs yet or watched either of the two movies, not sure what season of SG1 to start breaking into the other series. So is Universe that good?

Well, SG:Universe was a completely different animal altogether. It ran for 2 seasons (40 episodes) Think of it as a long story-arc (serious & gritty with much backstabbing) as opposed to 42 minutes of Star-Trek style complete nonsense where there is a happy ending at the end of each episode.
