Vickers is his synthetic sentry who stands guard as he goes about his business, even watching over him as he sleeps, other crew members such as Dickie seen later assisting him and other body guards are in the loop. The power source emanating from Vickers quarters has something to do with the amount of energy and cost to keep him the old guy in the wheel chair alive, maybe through one of his patents.

@Spartacus Whats with the sound of that Cat in that video giff..... oh i forgot in space no one can hear you scream... @aintnozeno Yes such a shame most of us wont be around or at a fit age come 2050 ish. I am sure David 8 + www.realdoll.com would make the perfect Vickers assistant lol... Why does her room use too much power, it could hint and the way she looks that she is a Andriod and its Weyland in that room. But it could all be a read herring as the other posibiliy for the old guy is Holloway.
