There have been many, many references to the "Blue Guy" but having watched various footage I've come to the conclusion that he isn't blue. There are quite a few shots of his hands and arms has he "attacks" crew members, they are quite clearly an ashen grey colour. I believe the lighting in the chair room just gives his head a blueish hue so the blue guy is in fact.....the Grey Guy. You heard it here first !!!

I think that the guy at the waterfall is a bald human, and not an Alien, and that other bipedal lifeforms we catch glimpses of are mutated crew, or similar. I don't think the big shocker in Prometheus is "Intelligent alien life looks just like us!" We only ever see the "Bald Blue/Grey guys" in the Orrery, and 2 of them look like they are part of the holographic projection. I'll bet the third one is, too. I'm betting on a little indirection to keep us looking away from this movie's "guy in a rubber suit"..

I agree virtually with everything you say, I think David stumbles upon a recording which is a hologram of the "Greys" going about their day. Then there is some cataclysmic event, central to the Prometheus plot, which brings us to the movie's timeline where there is now a single live Grey....mmmmm what happened to the other three ?

Yeah, I think youre right SJ. I don't think there are any Blue Meanies/Grey Guys/Space Jockies until one or more members crew is transformed. Could it be that the goal of the SJs is to proliferate life at all costs and they are essentially automatons for carrying out this act. Once someone infected transforms, this becomes their sole purpose for existence. Given their knowledge of earth, and the realization that Weyland represents the unstoppable greed and ambition of the human race, they decide humanity must be wiped out (now that they have FTL travel) to allow the rest of the universe's life to remain unharmed.

Lets say there are 4 of them total (4 cryo beds). One of the cryo beds didn't make it thanks to a zenomorph. The other two could still be under. One of them gets up from a tripped security feature. Perhaps they all take shifts. One stays up while the others stay in cryo. who knows! The greyish blue guy's skin is roughly the same colour as the biomechanoid fluid. Coincidence, who knows and are they related, very likely! The SJ's are the kings and one day they will fall and as Peter Weylan said "we are the god's now". I think the guy at the waterfall is not related to the movie but simply representing god like creature. Kind of like Zeus watching down from the skies. Perhaps to give the movie some perspective on how big this really is. The guy in the waterfall is massive likely hundreds of feet tall.

Blue Guy is just a recent term thats stuck with them, like the Space Jockey used to be. I think the correct term that we will be using after the movie is seen is BIO ENGINEERS. Indeed he is not Blue but greyish in apearence... But i guess just as we cant call any new Organisms the Xenos, i guess we cant call these guys the Greys lol. Oh and i cant see how the guy by the Waterfall is hundreds of feet Tall. This movie is linked with Ancient Astronaught Theory in which many ancient civilisations have a lot in common, in they worship Gods not a single God and these Gods are depicted as being Human looking but 2-3X our height. So no 100ft God that the Bible imagery seems to show. Not saying thats the case, i just think that that scene is either. 1) A Jockey with some kind of aflicttion. 2) The first Man Created 3) Just a Jockey being created maybe. I think its the scene at the start of time or at the start of creation of man or after terraforming of Earth. Its either going to be a scene to tell the tale of the Engineers to us, maybe a visual interprtation of what the crew read in the temple. Or its some kind of flash back/dream that David or Shaw has that the Engineers implant in their mins.

@BigDave.......SpaceJockey is a term that will never go away....it's one of the most classic references in sci-fi cinema and maybe I'm making too much of this, but it's a term that should be actively protected by fans in my opinion.....

Just to throw this out there: blue and gray is really close in color, so I don't see the big deal. It would be like arguing if Neo from the Matrix actually had a greenish tint. @BigDave - I hate to be THAT guy, but I just want to clarify, the Bible never depicts God as a 100ft tall man. I'm assuming sarcasm in your voice when you say that, since such a depiction would be kinda simplistic and stupid. @craigamore - I wouldn't say the term "Space Jockey" is quite as classic as you might think. It's not even known outside of our geeky sci-fi culture. It only appears in the script, which remember was originally titled Starbeast. When David Giler and Walter Hill rewrote the script, they probably just left the phrase in there because they knew it didn't matter.

@Xenotron No thats what many ancient people of that time actually depicted got to be, and thats some being that is huge in size and like yes about 100ft maybe less maybe more, but certainly depicted as being much bigger than the Egyptians depict their gods. Just as they depict Angels with wings. Although the Bible does tell that angels have wings, but not all and some have more than one pair of wings. It does not say the size of god, it just descipes his pressence as great and grand. So yeah i never meant that the Bible says God is a certain height, just that people from those times and after draw him as being very large. some draw him as being simular size. I would gather that no one knows his size, and that he could apear to man as any size.... Then again we have no proof of God apart from what is written and what images are depicted. In which case many depict the Devil to have covern hooves and horns. But does the Devil apear like that.... who knows.

Here is what i wrote "So no 100ft God that the Bible imagery seems to show." What i meant was not what is written in the Bible but the images that have been depicted would seem to show a being vast in size. So i was not saying God is 100ft, i was just replying to the person who mentioned a 100ft God, that i dont think the being in the Water Fall is no really tall being that represents God, be that 40ft, 80ft 200ft or what ever. How big is God.... i dont know i ant seen him, its as hard a question as i guess how long are the Easter Bunnies Ears?
