It's likely 20th century and possibly Ridley are going to make sequels for prometheus. Why make all the artist renderings and explain certain machines, terraforming engineering, etc etc for a movie like Prometheus which will likely not get into terraforming that much, if at all. This franchise is big when you look at the scale of it. Anything is possible and hopefully they dont waterdown sequels like they did after Aliens.

IMO...and In all likeliehood this is EXACTLY what we are going to find out is The very Primary Function of Space Jockeys !!! Terra-Forming! It was what's driving both companies at the time this film is set. And then there is THIS from TODAYS magazine posts. In all likeliehood Vickers Secret Agenda in this film {which is the reveal itself I speak of, the fact she has a BIG ONE} is to ensure the DEATH Of Mr. B.C. Weyland and or his son!!! But the one thing driving this whole thing almost, is Terra-Forming and this acquisition and material war going on between the Weyland and Yutani Corps.

The reason I said the above is because this movie to our knowledge is about the signs the pyramids depicted (star chart/location) and from Weylands point of view, technology. In reality, there are thousands of planets they could randomly choose to terraform other than this one. If this was about terraforming aswell one could assume they would have brought much more survey equipment and ships , not to mention, a larger crew. I completely understand your point Spartacus but it seems to me there are many more important things going on other than terraforming. Survival being one of them. Perhaps I am wrong!
