No More Spoilers

Just a friendly reminder. Well, a request, really.... Please, please no spoilers from anyone. Fans, producers, studios, websites... Please do not ruin this movie for me.
When I go see this movie on opening day I will be wearing headphones with Dio or Iron Maiden blasting just incase some schmuck wants to drive in front of the theater screaming out the ending. I know there was a lot fo this going on during the Harry Potter films.
Lets all enjoy this movie and let others enjoy it as well!
Thanks to you all!

@BugHunter
That's a great set of suggestions and probably about as much as you could be expected to do.
I wondered about a split board...

Well, the way I see it if the movie is as epic as think it is, then knowing some spoilers is not going to ruin your experience.

Might be easier to consider this entire site Spoiler News Central and then use your own judgement in favour of your personal preference - that way, you only have to worry about regulating yourself, not 5000 other people.
Just offering an Option B, as, personally, I'm finding it a little hard to see how Option A has any kind of future in this World.

I suopose you are correct Allinamberclad. I can not resist this site and I do read everything about the movie that I can find. That is, everything that doesn't have ***SPOILER*** anywhere on it. I am flirting with disaster though. I know I'll get that one guy that doesn't bother to alert us that he is going to reveal a major factor about the movie in his post. Perhaps it is best I just quit reading anything else about Prometheus.

I would not post something if I thought it would completely spoil the film. If I knew how Prometheus ends, I wouldn't post it. If I knew who gets killed by what, I wouldn't post it. If I had a 20 minute clip right from the movie, I wouldn't post it, let alone watch it.
Images, and trailers are MEANT to be viewed. That's why they're there. Call it "spoilers", but trust me - there's a lot we won't see until we go to the movies for ourselves. Do you actually think Ridley and the studio who have worked so hard to keep most of this film a secret would let the entire plot or major bits get leaked in a few trailers? Definitely not. They're smart.
This is all teaser material, and great teaser material at that! I can almost 100% guarantee you that come June, you will be shocked and impressed with what you see. I don't think anybody will go "I saw that coming!"
But regardless of this, I do plan to implement a spoiler "block" if you will. I will be temporarily removing the recent post feed from the forum homepage and replacing it with instructions for those wanting to post after they see Prometheus. I will also be opening a new forum dedicated to house discussions of those who have seen the film and containing actual spoiler content.
That way, if you read anything that spoils the movie, it will be your own fault as you will have to manually click the link to view the thread's contents. But that will come into effect in about 3 weeks time.
I'm a hardcore fan like all of you and I don't want to be "spoiled" before seeing it for myself. So don't worry, I will do what I can to limit that as much as possible.

As the time draws closer, I increasingly treat every thread like a time-bomb and pause before I open it.
There are more and more I don't read beyond the title - and, soon enough, I will just stop coming here at all and I won't return until I've seen the film.
At the moment, nothing's been "blown", any more than the trailers have "blown" it and that's the way I'm going to keep it - but all of that is down to me.
There doesn't seem to be a, "spoiler warning", habit, I doubt it'll be adopted universally any time soon, therefore: everything's a potential spoiler; everyone knows it - and there's no confusion.
I don't have to come here and read 'em if I'm worried.

You have to treat Prometheus like a Christmas present... It is fun to imagine what it could be and we often hear rumours... But you don't want to know until opening day, where you are sure to have a grin from ear to ear!
I expected some of the spoilers have some weight but RS is going to pull a quick one on all of us and in the end all our jaws will be dropping!
CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!

You have to view each thread with caution. I can't stop coming to this site, but I find myself viewing less and less threads based on topics that I feel may spoil more than I'd like. I've actually decided not to view anymore trailers including the just released one, but gone so far as to offer it up to people around me and asked how they like it but to not give me any info about it, silly right? I may apply a self ban of this site very shortly. Am I obsessed, YES! I just wish it would come out so we could get this over with.

Me too Cinefan....my cutoff was the London event, still dont know what that was. I know very well that the PR is well designed not to reveal too much, but that's the opinion of Fox and Scott and I'm in a more restriced mode.
This is a very special time....we get to shake the present, look at it, and guess. And we can't sneak a peek at the whole thing....and it's all for our own good.

I know what you mean, you check for Prometheus news but don't want to spoil the fun.
But ultimately this is a Prometheus forum, as they say, if you can't stand the heat, keep out the kitchen

I agree with Bughunter ...
Also these trailers are different to other movies because they DON'T actually show you the best bits of the movie ... lol ... I believe we have not seen sh!t yet ... and there's still a ton of stuff in there and we will not be disappointed with it ...
I've now got to go change my pants because that FULL HD trailer KnightRider posted has just made me a bit weak ... damn it's sweet in HD ...
